I would say that it was another "down to the last possible moment" votes that have become a Season 7 staple - but I would be lying. Technically speaking, it was an after the last minute decision, because the Jury still had to have their say on who was to receive immunity.

It another very tight, down to a single vote, selection process, but the contestant that they decided to spare this week actually needed it. Congratulations to nishi_kaze, you have been given immunity and are safe from elimination this week.

You can breathe now.

That does mean though that the person with the next lowest amount of votes will be going instead.

Thank you so much to all the people who came out to support your favorites. I hope that you will stick around to see this thing to it's conclusion, and that you will continue to check out some of the other outstanding writers who are currently competing!!

Unfortunately, this week, we are saying goodbye to 3 of them, and are, in turn, finding out Top 11.

We've been together for a really long time in this Season and I've really enjoyed all three of them. It's very difficult to say goodbye, but fortunately, they will be crossing over to the Jury, to help make future Immunity picks and helping to craft the rest of this season.

I really hope we will be seeing them in the Home Game as well. I'll miss their entries. . . I really need to just go ahead and say it instead of dragging my feet. . .

I agree wholeheartedly. Any elation at the last-minute save kinda gets tempered by having been saved at the expense of such talented writers.

I LOVE all three of those girls. This seriously breaks my heart.

comedychick is seriously like my Idol BFF. I hope to meet her in October and I adore this girl. She should be proud to have made it so much farther than last season. I know I'm super proud of her, and her writing has grown so freaking much. I really hope she knows just how awesome she is. I wish I could give her a big hug right now! Hopefully she keeps playing the home game and comes back next season. The GR wouldn't be the same without her <3

applespicy is a recent addition to my friends list this season and I am super impressed by her writing. I never list out my top 10 lists, but she was certainly on it. I even thought she could go all the way. She's a brilliant writer and I hope to see her writing continue on, and she better come back next season!


lawchicky is also a good friend of mine. Her entries are always great. She's a terrific writer who really knows how to craft a story. Her stuff never fails to entertain me! I really hope she sticks around and home games it, and she better be back next season as well!

I haven't been able to GR much lately due to trying to spend more quality time with my husband (see my goodbye post again ;)) so I'm not sure how much I'll be around there. I'm also not going to play again next season, but I'll probably still be around in some capacity. I love Idol too much to leave completely.

But seriously, yeah, this was out of left field. I had accepted that even the Last Minute Voter Brigade couldn't save me at the end, were it so inclined. So I guess now I'm on the hook for further writing. :)

Great game, everyone. Excellent reading all around - while eliminations are an unavoidable part of the game, it's still a shame to see bone and muscle get cut as the pool gets narrower.

I guess I owe a debt of thanks to the jury, whoever they are. I hope anything further I write lives up to this second chance.

Not to get all emo on you guys, but I'm really crestfallen about being eliminated this week.

I won't be homegaming it, at least not for the next couple of weeks because things are too busy and we're leaving for a much needed vacation.

I love all of the current contestants, but am so sorry to see applespicy and comedychick to be eliminated alongside me.

Being a fan of nishi_kaze's writing, I'm glad he survived, even though it meant me going out. I loved both of applespicy and lawchicky's entries this week, too, so at least I'm leaving in good company.

I'm in the same position as lawchicky... I am pretty torn up about going this week. Not that I'd be any less so whenever I might have been eliminated, but I kind of wish I'd gone out on something a little more "me" than this week's entry. But maybe that's better? Who knows?

All right, at a proper computer again and have my composure together.

applespicy has been a consistently strong writer and, even though I didn't get to know her very well, she has been a very positive participant and a gifted writer.

I have been a big fan of lawchicky for two years now. Her entry this week was both one of my favorites of the week and favorites of hers this season. When I go out, I hope to go out on as strong an entry.

And, of course, comedychick is awesome, and I didn't just write that because she suggested I write it in the comment section of her goodbye post. She genuinely is an awesome writer and has grown tremendously over the course of the season. She's also gone above and beyond the call of duty this week bringing new readers (not just new voters) to LJI.

A really surprising finish to the poll this week.

On the positive side nishi_kaze has been a favorite since the early weeks of the competition and I'm thrilled to see him continue another week.
