Sheriff Joe Arpaio, of Maricopa County Arizona, has decided to that instead of investigating his own office and scandals – and instead of getting the criminals off the street – that he is going to spend his time, and that of a special commission he has created, to vote in the LJ IDOL poll! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/587399.html

They have also tried submitting votes for the Spirit Award, but I had to tell them they were not eligible. After which they declared that I was probably a Kenyan.

Fortunately, as the ONLY Real and True ‘Merican – I built a fence to keep them out, a really tall one, and had my monkey army deport them back to wherever in F-Up’d Land they came from.

Maybe now they can help keep the Mexicans from coming into this country to have ”anchor babies” in Michigan!! You never know where “those people” will end up, and what they will retroactively declare that they did, or did not do.

It’s a good thing that Sherriff Joe will now have the time to investigate that!

And you. Because, quite frankly *someone* should probably be investigating you. I’ve seen the things that you have been up to, and quite frankly, it’s pretty scary that you are walking the streets free! ;)

Spirit of LJ IDOL

In true Season 8 style, the decision on who would receive The Spirit of LJ Idol award for this season was a close one that ended up being decided in the last few hours.

Which is fitting, given that this is something given by your peers, that voting ended up being all over the place for most of the duration. The peers in question are, after all, a pretty darn eclectic group of people!

At one point, it was looking like a 10 way tie! As time went on, that lowered to six... which lowered to three... which went back up to an almost completely differently six!

Up until an hour or so ago, it was a close race between three - and then one of them shot out a little bit ahead, and stayed there.

It was pretty thrilling. Which again, is appropriate for this season. So I guess you knew what you were doing! ;)

The Spirit of LJ Idol for Season 8, who will receive an icon, a banner, a special power (email to follow with that information) and most of all, the recognition of her peers for being the example of what this season has been about for them is
