The Wheelhouse - Week 15- 2
Nov. 9th, 2025 05:09 pm Writers have until Thursday to get their entries in! therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1209672.html
But that also means they have until then to get in their accusations on who the Killer(s) is/are! I just had to go back and reread the post where I announced the Killers, because there was a detail I was remembering but It sounded like something I DIDN'T end up implementing. After checking, I was right. It's not a "real" thing... but it might have been fun.
The idea was that the Killers would keep up their roles until the Top 5. Which is still the case. The "extra that got dropped" is that any Killers who made it undetected to the Top 5 automatically won the game! :D Which would have put a LOT more pressure on the rest of you to find them!! As is, it's just that once you get to the Top 5, or you expose all of them, they stop being Killers and resume their normal roles in the game, bleeding back in, and retired from their murderous ways!!

Date: 2025-11-09 10:38 pm (UTC)Weekend is going well, writing is happening. Last night, we went out to celebrate the fact that our son passed the California Bar. All three of us had chicken paprikash (there's a Czech/Italian restaurant here that makes a version so good you can actually crave it) and lava cake with ice cream. Delicious.
The weather here is beautiful this weekend, which makes me wish I were getting outside instead of being stuck inside writing...

Date: 2025-11-10 05:57 pm (UTC)I think people were a little more nervous about the possibility of NOT passing, too, after last February's first all-computerized Bar exam. That was an unmitigated disaster and resulted in a do-over at the July one. NOBODY wants to spend 10 weeks (or longer) eating and breathing bar study right after law school, and then have to do it all over again 6 months later. You'll never have as much knowledge (or time) as you do when you first graduate from law school. I mean, repeating all that while you also have to hold down a job? What a nightmare.
Oh, BTW-- one of the secrets of the epic paprikash is using a mixture of sweet and smoky paprikas, but leaving out the spicy one. Mmmm, smokyyyy.
