Please make sure to send your accusation and selection for who is to receive the antidote.  We are down to 8 and that - and any further twist ends at 5.  So, in theory, we are quickly approaching end game. I say "in theory" because there are so many other twists still on the Wheel. But only the Wheel knows if it's actually almost done with you or going to completely reset the entire mini-season and start all over again.  (Yes, that IS on the Wheel.  :D)

For anyone wondering what " kako no ashioto"  is:  ""Kako no ashioto" (過去の足音) in Japanese translates to "footsteps of the past" or "footsteps in the past". 

The phrase is composed of three Japanese words: 

• Kako (過去) - Meaning "the past" or "bygone days".
• No (の) - A possessive particle (similar to 'of' in English) that connects the two nouns.
• Ashioto (足音) - Meaning "footsteps" (the sound of steps). 

The phrase is often used metaphorically to refer to memories, events, or influences from the past."

I've had a few people ask how I've been.  The truth? Not well.  I mean great when I'm actively doing something, like that trip to Pittsburgh. (AMAZING) but when I'm not?  Not well. It will work itself out, and the holidays are always difficult for people.  So anyone else out there struggling - have some extra kicks, you damn hippies!  ;)  <3

TWO prompts with writing over Thanksgiving is a serious bummer, I have to say. Especially "There was only one bed," which is its own fanfic trope and it's hard to think of anything BUT that.

My search on kako no ashioto came up with "clumsy person", which is hugely different from what you've described above. Puzzling.

I imagine the holidays will be really rough this year, and I'm sorry about that. About the whole turn of events, really. I never thought you would wind up here after meeting Cynthia. :(

When I put the individual Japanese hiragana into my translation app, it comes out “past of a tread” which pretty much matches. “Treading the past” at least makes sense! Thanks for the assist!

When I put the entire phrase in, it translates as “footstuffs of the past,” lol!

For those not on my FL: my husband fell at work last week and fractured two bones in his shoulder as well as badly bruising his ribs. He's seeing Ortho this afternoon. I'm beginning to believe my MIL that my patience should earn me sainthood. And on top of that it's PIE HELL WEEK :whimpers:

Our male housemate K is in similar shoes as you. STBX wife abruptly moved up to Maine two weeks ago presumably to get away from everyone. Her birthday was two days ago. She wrote a longwinded FB post about everything that has gone wrong since leaving K. I've been dying to ask her if all this ~stuff~ she wrote about has been worth leaving her marriage. I still don't know why she left. Perhaps I'll never know. He doesn't say a word about it, he just gives her money and listens to her vent whenever she calls. If you ask him anything about it he'll intellectualize her leaving as though it's an engineering issue as opposed to whatever it was that fueled her decision. I don't pry but I am saddened because they were happy for a very long time.
