I promised an update on the mini-season start date, so here it is:

As is standard for a mini season, there will be a $5 donation per contestant. However, as part of the Patreon incentives, anyone signing up a $5 level has the option of getting a "+1 entry" for anyone who signs up for that before Nov 1st. Paying for Idol is a gift to oneself! *throws money at you*

I have sold several Idol stories, G, and paid it all back to you. Thank you.

Also, speaking from experience here, research partial dental plates in lieu of a bridge.

My old dentist recommended bridge. Which is why I'm saying that. I haven't gone in (other than to confirm that it couldn't be replaced) since the front crown fell out to get an assessment.

The dentist who saw me (near my house) wanted to do implants. Which is *way* out of my budget.

I don't have that kind of cash, either, and self-employed here...so we pay our own insurance and omg don't even get me started.

So, it's a front tooth? Well, still...do some research. Partial dental plates. I had to have all my root canaled molars extracted. I did a ton of research and opened my wallet....

Yep. A front one. (technically there are two crowns that came out around the same time - they went in about the same time too!)

But the other one isn't as visible. So, vain priorities... (unless I go in and they tell me that the damage is worse on the other one)

I agree that Idol is a gift to the people who participate.

But I've also spent most of my life barely able to pay for the things that I *need* to pay for... which is why when I had the first mini-season, I had a "if you want to give more - you can sponsor someone who otherwise couldn't afford to play". There were quite a few sponsored players in the last two mini-seasons. Something that made me really happy to see - folks supporting their fellow writers.
