I'm almost finished A Clash of Kings. In some ways it's a shame I've watched the series, but in others, it's quite good to have some reinforcement... sometimes I forget who's who (I'm easily confused).

I think I like the women better in the books than I do in the series. But Tyrion is awesome in both :D

Java took a vacation day today to finish all his. I kicked him until he agreed. He's got several done already and ideas for all of them, but he needed time to write. He also needed a mental health day at work, but Idol came into play too. Happy now, Gary? I've done my job for the day.

He could have wrote this weekend, but we needed some serious chill out time. And we got it. It was awesome. We stayed in bed until noon yesterday, made some pancakes and then fell asleep on the couch for a few more hours before going grocery shopping, making dinner and watching True Blood season 4 on DVD for a bit before bed. I'm just not feeling this season as much TBH. I hope it picks up.

The weekend was great, I just wish it didn't have to end. Though at least I'm not dreading work like I used to, I just was having too good of a weekend to want it to end :)

So that's why my head's been hurting! In all seriousness, I got my second severe headache in as many days last night and went to bed relatively early. Today, I'm staying inside, drinking lots of Gatorade, and pushing through to finish up.

I'm too short to kick people in the head - can I just kick 'em in the knee instead? Then they'd fall down to my level, and *then* I could kick them in the head!

On the other side of the coin, I found out today that I won Employee of the Month for June. This means I got a certificate, a huge, 2-foot wide bronze metal star with "Star of the Month" written on it in gold paint pen to hang in my area, and a $10 gift card to Thornton's convenience store / gas station. It's not much, but it's the thought (and the appreciation of my peers) that counts! :)

That is a medical condition I have read much on and am glad I do not have.
The physical symptoms that result from the altered blood flow to the head sound nasty. I could likely handle the head ache but the rest of it ick.

Sorry Gary!

I know I was planning to sacrifice myself last turn (though I fell asleep early and forgot to send that mail.) This turn however, I need to drop out. Sorry, can't do it.

I've reached that point in my writing now where I just can't squeeze it into LJI anymore, which means that no matter how fun this is, my other stuff takes precedence. I'm 95 000 words into my new book, 'The Grey', still doing short stories, working full time, and starting up my own company... so yeah.

Gonna have to bow out here.

Well, hope all the fathers out there had a loverly fathers day.
The ex actually called yesterday and talked to his children.
for reasons I cant fathom my mother told him about my health.
Personally I feel that would improve with a difrint/stronger anticonvulsive in conjunction with a move to a location were I would not be exposed to cigarette smoke and dust from 100+ year old plaster and lathe that just happens to be discintagrateing. This house was moved to its current local 100 years ago and the plaster and lathe is original.

I had a horrible cold for a week and a half that killed all my energy and focus. Plus I'm feeling kind of introverted and like I want to do my own thing and be inside my own head, and process all the positive changes in my life this year - positive changes all brought by Idol, actually. But I didn't want to drop, so I forced out six entries. And they are now all done and linked, and I'm free!!!! :)
