So if you see someone slacking off, and you know they don't have them finished yet, it's time to kick them in the head! Well, you should probably be kicking them in the head anyway... but that's just because... now you actually have a legitimate reason!

I'm glad you've kicked him into producing six pieces, although slightly concerned about Idol addiction if he's taking a day off for it :oP

Actually in all seriousness, if he needed a break, seems to make sense to use Idol as an excuse. I know I'd happily have a day of writing over working any time.

He really needed the day off too. Work was bringing him down and he needed a vacation day to chill out anyway. Idol just gave him a better excuse than him just needing to relax. So it worked out :)

He was considering it anyway, I just pushed him to do it.

I've used it as an excuse to take time off or leave work early too. I can't do that with this new job yet though ;)
