First, a few words from our congenial host, [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm:
The second topic is in, with a few of you doing that last minute slide under the gate.

At this moment, we have 25 contestants. By the end of this vote, it will be 22. 3 of you will be leaving us this week — and the combined totals of this poll and the last one will be determining which 3.

To keep things interesting, THIS poll will be friends only. Why? So it's not just a repeat of the last one numbers-wise.

The other poll IS still open, so remember to keep up the voting, both here and there!

Voting starts now and ends on Thursday May 17th at 1pm

Good Luck!

Now, let the voting begin!

That depends on the vibe of the post and what I think of the poster. It's entirely subjective and intuitive, but I know it's something that runs through my mind before I enter in who to vote for in my spreadsheet. If I think someone procrastinated heavily but then put together a really fun/solid entry, it'll boost their likelihood of getting my vote (I mean, clearly they've got some chops). If I think they labored for days over an entry and it still came out kinda "eh" they lose a bit of vote-likelihood (I want my LJ Idol to be a good writer). On the other, if they spend days on a post and turn out something really polished, I'm impressed--it means they're willing to put time into the contest. If they spend five of the last minutes on their post and the post sucks, they lose some "dedication" cred from me. Does that make sense at all or am I just rambling incoherently?

That makes sense! It is so much more organized than the way that I vote that I am daunted. Typically, I only consider the final product. I'm not organized enough to do it with a spreadsheet, for sure. Wow! *daunted*

Oh, don't be daunted. It's all by the seat of my pants--and my hard drive just crashed, so I'll be working sans spreadsheet for a while. Plus, I just noted who I voted for on which weeks, so I could track any trends in my voting and see if I was voting for anybody consistently. I didn't track variables like when they posted in the spreadsheet. That would be waaay too much work.
