One of you has been poisoned.

While you were sleeping, while you were reading entries and living your "best life", there was something stirring in the depths of Idol Manor.

Something dangerous.

Everything is not what you see on the surface, for there are Killers in this castle.

Cold blooded killers whose weapon of choice is a slow acting poison!!

if they choose you as their victim, first you will start losing byes (For the gamers out there, think of them as "extra hearts" or even "health points") once those are gone, the next round you will be dead and have your remains carried out of the competition.

There is hope though. Whoever "wins" each week (has the most votes) will be given an antidote. They can take it themselves or give it to someone else. If they guess correctly, then that person is cured. If they don't, then the antidote has no effect.

Following the completion of each "Week", the contestants remaining in the competition will have the chance to vote on who they believe the killers are. If you guess correctly, that Killer is revealed and eliminated.

Each week, the Killers are given a choice - they can either poison someone, or recruit someone to join their death cult! Once selected, you are a Killer. If you opt out of the invitation, you will be automatically poisoned.

This game within the game (mini-game) keeps going until either everyone has been poisoned or the Killers have all been exposed. (or the Top 5, whichever of those comes first)

(and yes, once eliminated, regardless of how, of course you are eligible when the wheel decides to let people back into the competition. But come on, that's not as fun as saying "THERE'S MURDER IN THE CASTLE!!!!" )

Okay, so this is a bit like being recruited as a Traitor, right? But I have a question:

Everyone has two Byes (except those who used one this week). You wrote: once those are gone, the next round you will be dead and have your remains carried out of the competition

So, let’s say I have two byes. If I am poisoned, I’m down to one Bye. It’s slow acting, so the following week I have no more Byes. Does that mean I’m automatically dead/out, or am I only dead if I then miss posting, since unknown to me, I have no Byes left, but I think I still have two since I’ve posted each week?

The Devil's Plan has two seasons on Netflix. I'm not entirely sure where you can find it these days, but if you want THE BEST Korean (maybe the best international) strategy show The Genius is AMAZING.

For those interested in such things: the Devil's Plan had several different weapons that could be used (and a variety of opponents. It was only partway through that mini game that people realized they could use them against each other) Up until fairly recently the Killers were going to have the choice between stabbing and poisoning. Stabbing would kill their opponent immediately. I opted to give people a fighting chance, and the ability to gain an antidote. (if used correctly)

I asked the Wheel which week this would be debuted, the number of Killers we would start with (between 1-3) and then had the Wheel randomly select who would get that invitation to kill. :)

I'm hoping people will have some fun with this.

Wow. I haven't watched Traitors yet, so I'm not sure how this twist has worked in the past, but it sounds terrifying. Anyone else feeling sick? Poisoned? Or is that just the unbearable heat?

(that would make it just a matter of you asking for the antidote and no strategy guess work involved. It would be less a game and more of a "potential act of cruelty" for whoever didn't give it to the person they knew for a fact needed it! :D)
