Next thing you know they are throwing on black turtlenecks and snapping their fingers. You just can't stop them once they get rolling.

Haven't decided if I'm writing or not. Will see if I am inspired. Am curious as to what happens if only one person in a given tribe writes? OR will Gary combine all the entries?

Whatever happens, my decision will be based on inspiration (or lack thereof), not strategy.

I wonder the same thing about what if only one person in a tribe participates... Or if they will be moved around. It intrigues me and I wish I could write (mainly because the thrill of writing for the game is so great for me, not because of strategy.)

I should know to expect a GR at any time these days, but it still surprises me to see them at night...

The optional topic intrigues me...I'm really curious as to the catch. I'd probably be crazy enough to participate, but I won't be home till late tomorrow (well in the evening) and I'll work all day Wednesday. So more than likely, there won't be an entry from me. I wish there could be in a way, though it also scares me in a way...

Of course I made a mistake with part of my entry that I will have to fix tomorrow, because it's bedtime now!

Anyway, yes, I am going to take the risk. I think it is a fun idea, I have a perfect subject for my entry that I'm having fun writing about, and I like it better than the open topics!

I reserve the right to...I don't know, do something drastic if I end up in a tribe with only joeymichaels and talonkarrde88 or something.

I just finished writing a review/critique (something somewhere in between the two, I think) for the beginning of a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover fic. It was pretty entertaining.

I'm not doing a handstand. At least in part because I'm a wimp and can't do handstands.

The person over in my kitchen was just turning on the stove, and truth to be told they probably SHOULD wear SOME kind of safety gear around it. You know, just to be sure.

I'm likely writing for the topic. 'Cause I'm just that crazy. So we'll see what happens when I get a bit of coffee in me.

Other than that, holy crap is it cold. 33 outside, 68 in my studio (and that's the temp from the thermometer hanging on the wall, it's easily 2-3 degrees colder near the floor thanks to the drafty sliding glass door). Yesterday my feet got so cold that I sat with a heating pad on the floor underneath them. Seems like that may happen again today.

I'm celebrating the birth of my newest nephew :) We just got word that he was born a few minutes ago. My sister-in-law went into labor last night, so we knew it would be today. Their plan was to name the baby Salvatore if he was a boy, just like my son, who turned two yesterday.

I am not submitting an entry in this week's challenge. If I find the time, I might write one, but I'm not brave enough to submit it "officially" because I don't like the potential consequences (ok, ok, I'm a wimp). I doubt I'll find the time to write this week anyway. There's a lot going on here.

I look terrible in a beret and I can't grow the cheesy little soul-patch as I am facial hair-challenged... hell, it takes me a week to grow a 5 o'clock shadow... quite literally. So I could never be a *proper* beatnik obviously.

Pondering about this "optional" topic... it's quite the mind game Gary is playing with us here. Lots of risk... but is there any reward? I tend to think so. But then I second-guess that because... well... it's Gary and he loves mind-screwing us. :-)

It's back to the ol' salt mine today, sadly enough. 4 days off just doesn't seem near long enough dammit! Of course, we only have a 3-day week so I suppose I can muddle on through. I figured it would be deader than Liberace this week but it's jumpin' a bit.
