Work Room - Week 4

Granted, you don't have to do a non-fiction entry... and the movie related topic can easily be made into talking about a book or any other piece of popular culture.

There's plenty of ways to twist and turn these things into whatever you want to make them. On the other hand, they are kind of specific.

But this is definitely a different kind of week. Or rather it's a different kind of week than most of the "new school" players have ever seen. Which makes it interesting to me.

How are you going to make yourself stand out?

They came out with the Susan B. Anthony $1 coin years ago. It was an utter failure because everybody kept getting it mixed up with a quarter, even though it was actually bigger than a quarter.

I saved a few of them for conversation piece's sake. And I'll never admit how many jars of pennies I have around here ;)

They have presidential dollar coins, too.

I once had roughly 500 dollar coins in my coin vault at work, one day. It took MONTHS for me to get rid of all of them.

They give them as change at our mass transit stations because none of the machines give paper change. I've used them to pay for stuff at work but I always have to remind whoever's cashiering that they're dollar coins, not quarters.

I could see that. If I weren't paying attention I'd do the same thing. And now that it's my job to pay attention I never go "but that's a quarter" when it ain't a goddamn quarter. xD
