This was really tight.

How tight? If I were to expand the perimeters by 4 votes, we would have 8 more people leaving. (beyond the limit. Even expanding to by 2 votes would put it over 10 people leaving (but adding 8 to the mix is more dramatic, and illustrates my point - so let's go with that!)

Even "the top" is pretty crowded, with the middle breathing down it's neck!

From a contestant only standpoint, it would appear that the field is pretty evenly matched as far as this week goes!

Unfortunately though, the nature of the game says that some people must leave us this week.

So, I'm really hoping that we will see them there, and that they can fight their way back into the mix!

With that said, it's time to post the names. I would say there are some "shockers" in the mix. Definitely not names that I was expecting to be saying today. But then again, the bottom changed hands so many times in the last 24 hours that I really wasn't sure how it was going to shake out!

I'm somewhat surprised by the results, too.

Am I nuts, or did no one from the eight-way tie of week 21 that is landing in redemption (myself included) get eliminated in that group? That's impressive to me if it is true. Even if we already sadly lost binaryorchid prior to this week.

Goodbye everyone. While small details like my job and my family duties frequently had me ruing the investment I was making in Idol, and had me considering bowing out, it was still a painful blow to be voted off the island.

I love the writing, but could definitely use the additional time for other pressing things like planning science lessons or following up on builders or maybe even cooking dinner.

I have but a tiny idea that would work for "In the Garden" but doubt I'll have enough time today to give it justice. Maybe I'll avoid my more respectable responsibilites and bang something out. But at this point, I only have 3 hours, split into two parts. I commented earlier that I had come to see Gary as benevolent, rather than evil.

Now I'm not so sure.

Is that maniacal cackling I hear in the distance?
