I keep trying to hide from Shame, but it keeps finding me. I think it uses the "Find Friends" app, much the way Weight keeps finding me, no matter how much I try to lose him. Personally, I think they are in cahoots!

You could be "I want to win!" and someone else is "I want to write X-number of entries".
You could really love feedback and someone else might not.
You could always read your friends first - and someone else might go with people they don't know first.
When it comes to voting - pretty much everything is up in the air, including people who *only* vote for themselves!
Seeing how all of these viewpoints come together and figure out how to co-exist is something that will always fascinate me.
Who will be able to navigate the mind field and who will end up self-destructing in the process?

Date: 2014-09-22 05:26 pm (UTC)When reading, I do so as things are posted in the topic thread and keep a spreadsheet of what I liked and didn't like. I don't vote for someone because of who they are, but because of what they wrote. I give a vote to any entry for the week that hits some note with me. In general they have to pull me in within the first paragraph and keep their momentum or my attention will wander. In looking through my spreadsheet I can say that anyone could get my vote for an entry I like, though I know that my taste isn't everyone's.
I do think that there's a social aspect to this game that I don't always play as well as I could. I try as best I can to navigate the mines...
