I just spoke to some friends at the CDC in Atlanta, and they let me know that they were looking for a place to house a couple unexpected guests.

So I volunteered Idol.

I'm sure these are really nice people, and that you will get along great! So feel free to mingle. Make out. Maybe do a blood transfusion or two with them. Whatever it takes!

Everything is fine. I'm sure that everything will be fine.

I'll just be over here, with the poll, reading to cross out a few more names!

Who wants to hear about what a doof I am?

So I'm flying out to Philly this morning, right? My house is (with no traffic) 45 minutes from the airport. At 5:30 am when I left, there was no traffic. I was parked and getting ready to walk into the airport when I noticed I had left my purse (and therefore my ID and credit cards) at home. I had to drive home and then BACK to the airport in time for my 8:45 am flight. There was traffic on the way back, but fortunately I have a pass for the express lane.

Atlanta airport is huge and I had to run through it to get to my gate, which, um... was moved at the last minute. To a different concourse. I have no idea how I actually made it onto this plane, guys.

*wipes purple sweat from brow*

...Oh, and also, FRIST! Oh, and here. Have some Ebola. :D

OMG, Atlanta airport... so many concourses!

I totally always check the passenger seat for my purse before I leave the house, LOL. Phew!!

I understand Ebola is lovely on Ritz crackers...

Your gate may have been right - it's just that Atlanta's concourses move when you aren't looking directly at them.

congrats and I lost my id once & had to fly....luckily, it was Dayton OH. I'd just been on TV for something and the TSA guy recognized me from it and "helped" me a little.

I have sprinted through an airport to arrive at the gate as they were about to close the door to the jetway. Luckily they paused and let me on board.

That was because of flight changes due to other delays but ugh. It's hard to calm down and get back into a regular mindset after that.

I am proud to announce that last night I got FIVE grocery store clerks to wear Misha Collins masks (similar to this (http://www.redbubble.com/people/mangax3me/works/10165874-i-survived-the-mishapocalypse?p=sticker), only just the face, and in B&W) at their stations and let me take a photo of them. W00t!

In other news, I think I managed to get five hours of sleep last night...

Heh, I just found out I'm being volunteered to cover vacations at the two in-the-Outback stores in our district. I have the option of saying no, but 1) it's OT plus mileage, and 2) it's one of those it-won't-look-good-if-I-say-no type of deals. Plus 3) I'm betting anyone else they asked said no because they don't want to drive out there. Both stores are right off the highway and yeah, they're longer drives and there's traffic to contend with, so I can understand why people would nix the offer...
