We're starting the day off with a bit of bad news. Well good *and* bad. The good is that druidspell has some exciting stuff happening with her life. The bad being that it means she will be leaving us.

Another bit of good news/bad news is the end of "How I Met Your Mother" tonight. I'll probably end up watching it after I finish with the polls.

Oh, so you also heard the Terminus cannibal theory too? I don't quite buy it. It's too pat. The group was put into the box car for some other reason, whether it's quarantine or protection or something else I haven't though of. One of the theories I've read was that they keep the walkers away by throwing out a sacrificial lamb, i.e., the guy with the glasses who was attacked. I could see that.

Anyway, today is my only day off this week. I've got a metric ton of stuff to do. It's also been pouring out off and on and I'm hoping my street doesn't flood because if it does, so does my basement :p

Interesting.

I'm mostly going by the comic. It was around this time that the Hunters showed up.

It's not exactly how it happened. But given how close the encounter with Joe mirrored what ended up happening in the comic (with a random group of people), and the last line of the episode was taken nearly word for word (they used the f-word in the comic) from a panel. I think that's why a lot of people are leaning toward Terminus being the TV show's version of the Hunters.

I'm not entirely sold that they would be "going there" on television. But there are definitely a lot of being lead to believe that they will. Knowing the show though, that could all be misdirection!

real life totally ate me this week, spring break is my mortal enemy. However... less writing time, means more reading time, so perhaps I will make it my goal to leave everyone a comment between now and Thursday. That's a loft goal for someone as people-phobic as I am. now if only I could hand out beers over the internet, mmmm comfort zones.

blanket question to anyone: what is your comfort zone with regards to social interaction? Where are you most at ease when meeting new people?

I just really dislike most social interaction because it just confuses me but I do better one on one. If I'm in a group... nope! I'm never at ease anywhere when I'm meeting new people.

It's a mixed bag who likes/hates season 9. If you're super into the world of HIMYM and you love all the flashback anecdotes that Ted goes into, then you'll probably love season 9. ^^ Can't wait to hear what you think when you watch it!!! It is free on CBS.com the day after it airs if you weren't already aware. :)

Public Service Announcement:

The first in a new series of Veronica Mars novels is out. The audiobook is narrated by Kristen Bell. I listened to it this weekend.

It's not "great literature" or anything, but it's fun, and all your favorite characters are there. The only down side is the book takes place after the movie, so if there are any, "OMG! Who will die?" moments in the movie, I know already.

If you asked me at the beginning of this TV season if I would miss HIMYM when it ends, I'd probably have said no. But I really love The Mother, and last week when it ended and I realized there was only one episode left, I actually started crying.

So, yeah, I'm sad. I hope it's a good end.

And now that I'm finally home with my work trip, I can try to write my entry. We'll see how that goes!

Yeah, the show went through a mid-seasons dry stretch a couple or so years ago where I wasn't that into it because it just didn't grab me anymore. It's kind of how Friends was in seasons 7, 8, etc. But the end stretch this season has grabbed me again.

It does not.

The only time results are impacted is if someone drops *during* a poll. Then it is counted as a sacrifice. Otherwise, the only impact is that you move one step closer to winning! :)

I do expect that in Weeks 4-6 we will be seeing chunks of "bye-outs" that will shift tribal dynamics.

I've never watched HIMYM (we're not really "sitcom" people), but I might try it out on Netflix. At least it has a known, planned ending? That really helped for "Psych," though not so much for "Dexter" (or at least, not to my Dexter satisfaction!) Having shows get yanked and the final episode be a cliffhanger? Ugh.

I got zippo done on the taxes, once again, which means I'll have to try to poke away at it in the evenings. In between reading a gazillion Idol entries. Yikes!

Sitting in the Seattle airport, and I am soooo sleepy. Super glad I had a chance to write a story Friday afternoon, because there really wasn't time the rest of this trip. I'm going to hope this airport wireless is more reliable than the last, and try to catch up on reading and comments.

Yikes. I didn't think I could finish this week. It's done now though, and almost bedtime.

Last week bit me in the bum a little bit, and I just gave up on it all. One of the things I'm not very good at is working when I'm tired - my brain basically shuts down, but won't let me nap, so I can't do anything except hide under a blanket on the sofa in front of crap TV. This is how I spent last week, which is 100% boring.
Hopefully I'll cope a bit better this week.
