We're starting the day off with a bit of bad news. Well good *and* bad. The good is that druidspell has some exciting stuff happening with her life. The bad being that it means she will be leaving us.

Another bit of good news/bad news is the end of "How I Met Your Mother" tonight. I'll probably end up watching it after I finish with the polls.

I am sad about the ending of How I Met Your Mother, but that means I can eventually watch the rest of season 9 on an HD TV instead of a netbook. ;)

Oh, so you also heard the Terminus cannibal theory too? I don't quite buy it. It's too pat. The group was put into the box car for some other reason, whether it's quarantine or protection or something else I haven't though of. One of the theories I've read was that they keep the walkers away by throwing out a sacrificial lamb, i.e., the guy with the glasses who was attacked. I could see that.

Anyway, today is my only day off this week. I've got a metric ton of stuff to do. It's also been pouring out off and on and I'm hoping my street doesn't flood because if it does, so does my basement :p

Interesting.

I'm mostly going by the comic. It was around this time that the Hunters showed up.

It's not exactly how it happened. But given how close the encounter with Joe mirrored what ended up happening in the comic (with a random group of people), and the last line of the episode was taken nearly word for word (they used the f-word in the comic) from a panel. I think that's why a lot of people are leaning toward Terminus being the TV show's version of the Hunters.

I'm not entirely sold that they would be "going there" on television. But there are definitely a lot of being lead to believe that they will. Knowing the show though, that could all be misdirection!

Thanks - it's "family" - very very close friends from college. I'm actually thinking of flying down to Florida, where they live, to help out for a few days next week. I have the money, I'm just not sure I can get the time off work at such short notice.

Yeah, they live in Tampa. It's not my news to share, but it's personal and it's going to be tough for them for a bit, and having me around for a few days to help cook and clean might go a long way to helping them feel better.

They were making references to the comic on Talking Dead, but they didn't mention the Hunters. I've never read the comic, so I have no idea. All I know is that Daryl isn't part of the comic :shrug:

The fact that they were herded because of Rick's reaction to the watch, though, was telling. They've also got Maggie's poncho and Glen's armor. Whoever is running Terminus knows this group, so...

We have this informal goofy "who can imitate a zombie the best?" contest at work. The fact that I seem to "win" a lot of the time is a bit unsettling.

real life totally ate me this week, spring break is my mortal enemy. However... less writing time, means more reading time, so perhaps I will make it my goal to leave everyone a comment between now and Thursday. That's a loft goal for someone as people-phobic as I am. now if only I could hand out beers over the internet, mmmm comfort zones.

blanket question to anyone: what is your comfort zone with regards to social interaction? Where are you most at ease when meeting new people?

I ended up taking a bye because I had absolutely no time this weekend to write anything halfway decent, even though I still have a couple of ideas kicking around. If I can somehow write something between now and the deadline, I'll rescind the bye. I don't see it happening, though.

Yep. Daryl is completely from the TV show. There has been talk of introducing him in the comic. Perhaps he could show up after the war ends. (they are currently in the middle of one with another community)

Aha okay. There's been a lot of nasty weather in Orlando and then some random man hunt that went on last night (scared the bajeezus out of me, I swear I heard someone try the door at, like, 11 last night), glad it wasn't anything to do with that. Still sad there's something amiss, however. Sending tons of good vibes in Tampa's direction. :)
