Heh. Actually, the next day, Jessi and I laughed and predicted a few people on my list in particular who probably missed it. I have a pretty big range of people who read my LJ.
lol! You definitely wouldn't have been one of the people I would have been referring to- nor anyone else on LJ Idol, really. I just have one LJ friend in particular who is famous for missing the point in all scenarios, and while Jessi and I love this person, we were amused.
My sister-in-law reads mine. I doubt she wants to know when her brother and I "can't sleep." Actually, there's no doubting. She's made it clear she doesn't want to know. Sometimes I mention it anyway. It is MY journal, after all.
Amen. When my mama started reading my LJ, I warned her a bit that I don't hide much, other than obvious legal discretion, etc...she doesn't care. We have a very open relationship!
If she doesn't want to know, she doesn't have to read it! ;D So there.
I definitely use filters. I'm not crazy about LJ cuts. I know people prefer them, and I used them for pictures, but if I write a long post, I still don't cut it.
I didn't, but I found out that a friend of mine reads my LJ but de-friended me because she said my long posts messed up her LJ layout. Being pretty obliging to my friends list, I changed the habit.
She was just kind of a different person. I understood where she was coming from based on who she was. It's laflorenamorada, and even though she never ended up friending me back again, I just sort of figured she might not be the only one.
I know, personally, that if someone puts something under a cut, I'm less likely to read it, even if it would interest me. So, I don't use cuts. If someone unfriended me for that, I'd be annoyed, but I'd figure they probably weren't reading my long posts anyway. And I like long posts. :)
My most and least interesting posts go under cuts- the least interesting with apologies in the cut text. It's funny, but I take each person I befriend with a different deal, and based on our understanding of one another, it was OK that she said that.

Date: 2007-11-06 04:44 pm (UTC)I noticed it, but I tend not to react too much to things like that, unless there's a lot of "wink wink" energy to it that begs for ribbing. ;)
