I feel burned out AND like I'm fading away. So ner. I'm not sure what happened to my stamina - I dealt with all five children for nine months by myself and was fine, but a few days while the husband's away in the States and I'm exhausted! I must be getting old.

I'm guessing that the JC Penney ad is a much bigger deal among the Merkins (correct nomenclature) than it would be over here. Also a terrific way to troll One Million Moms.

Hey beautiful Idolers!

I just wrote Gary to let him know that I'm not going to have an entry today. For the last few weeks I've felt as though I'm taking the spot of someone who is working far harder than I am, and for whom it is more important to keep going.

I love LJI, and have enjoyed competing this season. There's just too much going on for me right now, and I'm just not going to phone in another entry. This whole thing is worth far more time and respect than I'm able to give it.

So, much love, kiddos. I'll be around, I'm just not going to compete any more this season.

I need to make this quick for a change as I'm running really late. Both my furbabies were snuggle monsters this morning. First, Miss Kitty held me down by sleeping on my chest with her head crooked under my chin, kissing me every few minutes. That's just too sweet to not sleep for a few more minutes with her, she needs snuggles. Then Annabelle was so happy when I woke up (she was sleeping in bed with me) and wanted me to scratch her ears, so I did that for a bit.

Next thing I knew, I lost half an hour. Since I only give myself an hour to get ready, that means in running really late. Yet I'm here instead of running out the door. Gotta have priorities.

Second to last day at Corporate Hell! Trollface (formerly Evil One) has been bashing me behind closed doors, not realizing her walls are thin. I don't want to hear it, so I get up and leave often, but it went on all morning and afternoon. Then she comes out and acts like my best friend, even telling me about a goodbye lunch she's planning for me (that the VP likely made her do). Oh how I won't miss the snooty little drama queen :)

Oh JCPenney, y u so crazeh? Actually, it makes me really happy, both with this ad and the one they refused to pull previously. 1MM can go bite an exhaust pipe. If they really think an ad campaign is going to disrupt the world, they need to think about their public image more.

What about just us damn American hippies who haven't read the J. C, Penney ad? Who wrote her entry in her head the first night but is having a hellofva time typing it into the computer.

AND this time I am not trying to work in between sentences I am off work entirely and still my fingers refuse to connect to my brain. Any body have a remedy that will help with the connection.

Since I do have to work tonight I better get in gear. SO whatever I have goes up before six because I'll be on the interstate I-65 S minutes after.

We could fake some trauma symptoms for you, to put you in the right headspace.

Actually, I thought of you the other night. i was watching some real life forensic show and they were talking about a chemical in the blood (from a medication) that combined with excess oxygen (when the patient was given oxygen in route to the hospital) and then the blood cooled when it was drawn, so it somehow caused more oxygen to glom onto it, and made crystals in the blood and ended up being a nerve toxin that knocked out the doctors and nurses in the emergency room.

They did not use the word glom. That's me. Hard science was never my thing. But I thought of you and wondered if you had heard of that.

We saw the torch last Friday :D It was pure fluke - I decided to take the children to a home school event (which was awesome) and thought we'd have missed it. It was passing down the bottom of our road, too. We got back and saw lots of people waiting and we managed to park up and see the torch. I found it surprisingly emotional too and my son said it was the most amazing thing he'd ever seen.

Then we went home and got a puppy.

Last Friday was a brilliant, brilliant day. Wish I'd known that Matt Smith was taking the torch from Cardiff the next day though. I would have dragged my children out of bed and it would have made my daughter's LIFE to see Doctor Who in the flesh.

With that deadline, I knew I couldn't leave it until after work. So - I stayed up until 3:30 last night. Oddly enuogh I am not terribly sleep deprived today, even though it was hard to get up this morning.

I am not aware at all of the JC Penney thing. Been more than a decade since I last watched TV, lol. But hey, from the comments it sounds like it was a good thing, and much of my clothes came from there growing up because it and Belk were the two department stores in Mayberry Mall. :)

Looking forward to reading entries! I haven't really gotten started yet.

Also, note to self - find out date of sister-in-law's graduation and ask for personal time at work.

I have alt text for the images in my entry, but when I mouse over them I don't see the text. Anyone know how to fix it?

hmm. I'm not seeing it either.

I peeked at your html and don't see a problem there. i usually put the src before the alt, but I don't think it matters.

LJ has an option to not show that box that pops when you hover over a user's name. I wonder if that would also interfere with this.

Might check with bax or imafarmgirl and see if their readers are picking it up.
