so now it’s time to get to work again!

I gave you an extra day (well, the end of Survivor did. But I’ll take credit for it) so you have a little extra time to hone your entries into what you want them to be.

I’m still seeing some formatting issues - really small type that makes it difficult to read, formatting that just goes wonky, people forgetting to unlock their posts so people can read them. You know, little things that could end up costing. We are so deep in this now that anything like that could very well end your run.

Which would be a shame because I happen to think you are the strongest Top 40 to date. I’m hoping that you will be the strongest Top 30...20... and so on! :)

There is still a way to go, but the end is within sight for those with a telescope handy! ;)

I think I have an idea... Whipchick said she wants to hear more about my crazy family... I might deliver just that this week. It'll be lighter than last week, that's for sure. I think lighter is good just in case Gary's threats of gatekeepers are real.

Okay. My immediate first thought upon seeing the topic was to laugh ironically a lot, because I could so do nonfiction about an ex-friend of mine here. Oh my god, that whole relationship consisted of walking on eggshells.

But well - if we are to bring our A game, my A game is definitely in the realm of fiction. So I will have to think of something fictiony. But hey - it could still incorporate elements from The Friendship From Hell.

With those under my belt, I think I'm going to make the effort to read everything this week and, assuming it's a general vote, vote. I don't think it'll be gatekeepers like other people seem to be suggesting. I think contestants only is more likely. :P

We must all put in that people need to read and coment on home game entries - more people might write if they knew people were interested.
I wrote a fan fiction peace for TWD (tv show) and have no idea what people think (same goes for the first part of an x-men/wolverine story)
I am still adding to my Anne McCaffree tribute story (Dragon Prime) because I know people like it.

Since other people seem to be doing it, I'm opening myself up for suggestions of what you'd like to see from me. I have no ideas right now, but I'm not too worried yet, what with having a whole extra day to write. Unless, of course, Gary suddenly throws an extra topic at us. Which is always likely.

But I'm not going to stress about that until if/when it happens. As it stands, left to my own devices, I'll probably end up with something on the surreal side, but I'm completely open to input/suggestions/inspirations/any horrific creatures I haven't written about yet.

Any ideas for me? Alieninfinity suggested historical fiction but there must be something wrong with me because I suddenly don't feel like doing that. I'd kind of like to do another thing more along the lines of Straw Man or my one from last week but um, I don't know if I can force that because those basically wrote themselves.
