Merry Christmas Idol!

I hope Santa was good to you!

I'm still trying to figure out if he thinks that I do a lot of grilling or maybe that I'm an artist. I think the sheer amount of these black rocks will keep me busy for quite some time!

What did he get you??

(other than the Free Topics of course - http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/511799.html)

Merry Christmas!

My Christmas is over for another year, and today I'm going to spend it alternating between reading A Clash of Kings and watching movies, so it should be a nice and relaxing day.

Santa didn't visit my house this year, which was fine by me. Any time I don't have to spend money is fine by me ;D

Hope everyone's having a good day!

Edit: Oh, hey, first!

He only comes round for New Year here :)

I have a question though. Why is Chrismas - Merry?

It''s mostly an American thing. I think in England it is more often Happy Christmas. I'm sure Wiki would have more info but I'm on my iPhone and being lazy.

I was very bad this year! I got visited by Bad Santa!

http://zia-narratora.livejournal.com/722720.html?view=comments

Also, I have always sort of wanted to write the story about the little Dickensean orphan who tries really hard to misbehave in the weeks before Christmas so Santa will bring coal to light the stove in the orphanage.

Merry Christmas, Gary! And Merry Christmas to everyone who makes Idol what it is by playing along. I hope everyone is having a great holiday, whatever you celebrate, may it be happy and safe!

Considering Christmas is my favorite holiday ever, I'm trying to be merry. But this year, it's proving to be difficult with all the stuff in my head. It's mostly just about how I'm growing into my own life, with other people I care about a whole lot (ahem Java). It goes beyond the people though... I guess I'm at that age where I want to be my own person, but I feel guilty for wanting that. Guilt issues? I haz them.

There's other weird stuff on my mind too that the holiday is bringing out, again more about stuff I want (not like material stuff, all life stuff). But I'm sure things will get better. We had a blast playing with a game my nephew got where you put cards in a headband on your head and ask questions to figure out what it is. My nephew got bored early on and left my mom, step-dad, sister, my two older nieces and myself to play through it. It was a lot of fun. I really do enjoy my family and I'm glad I'm here :)

*HUGS* I'm sorry you're having trouble with the merriment, honey. It's not selfish to want to be your own person and grow into your own life. Not at all. It's something we all have to do at some point and it can be painful and angsty. But it's not selfish at all. I'm sorry that it's making ick in your head though.

I can't wait to see you and hug you again, honey. I hope you enjoy your last few days out there. I know your family loves having you there. I loves you so much. *HUGS*

I got a LOL Cat Bible - very funny - I posted an entry on the birth of Happy Cat in my journal, if anyone wants to read it.
I got some books, and a machine to make frappes at home, so fun! Other things to, but I gotta go...

Heading out for Xmas dinner with the In-laws now. Ciao! Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, regardless of whether your celebrate Christmas or if it's just another Sunday :)

There are many uses for those black rocks. You can make snowmen with two eye made out of coal.

Santa was good to me but I think he's planning on me cookin a lot. I got new knives, an immersion blender and a griddler thing. Also some new clothes and a cool sea glass pendant.

Very stuffed of ham now.

Our very best present was the puppy though. He's gained 4 pounds and grown a bunch since we got him.

Hope everyone is winding down, taking a break, doing what they like;
After cooking like crazy yesterday I am resting on the goodies I have in the fridge, well not actually resting on the pies, cakes and roast meats, but you know what I mean!! Can eat cold cuts and pickles and all the easy stuff today.

Had quiet dinner with one son, so just three of us. But the fun start was the 5am squeaking of a frog that must have come in some hole and was being chased by the cat.---- Yep fun times, and a storm of biblical proportions over night.

Just been to the local grocery and bought a present for next year, some paper, cards, and lots of meat that was less than half price.!Yay. Don't you love a bargain ? ready for a new topic soon, but haven't done any yet.

Santa was good to me. He usually is, and this year was no different. Mostly though I feel so blessed to be alive and have such great friends and family and such wonderful things in my life.

I also feel blessed because our prime rib was tender enough for me to chew. Usually because of my trigeminal neuralgia I can't eat beef unless it is ground. So that was a great Christmas present!

Happy Ho Ho everybody!

Hope everybody's had a lovely day whether you celebrate a holiday or not! Santa was good to me yesterday in that he brought my beloved Raiders a victory and a shot at the playoffs! Wooo Hoooo for that!

Santa was also pretty darn good to me today too. I've spent a lot of time today working on my Project O' Doom II and getting some good time in on that. I think I may be on to something here. The feline companion has been happy to have me around for the weekend... lots of extra scritchin' time which makes him happy. So it's been a very low-key, mellow day. Which is good. I'll have to stop screwing off here soon to go whip up my contribution for the "End of the World" holiday buffet... I'm making Chow Mein. Hopefully it will be edible!

Hope everybody's having a great day filled with lots of love and laughs!

I'm home for the first time in two years. That's all I wanted for Christmas, which is good because other than a heating pad that I already own and an admonishment that I need to get up and wash the family's dishes, that's all I got this year.

I've not killed my mom yet. This is significant, because she keeps trying to commit suicide by heinous acts toward daughter. I love spending time with my dad and seeing the rest of my family, but don't be surprised if it's not another two years or more until I come home again.

I'm enjoying time with friends and glad to have gotten to see my doctor. I finally coaxed my cat into letting me pet him. Took 5 days, but he will finally let me give light skritchies behind the ears before batting my hand away.

Hope everyone else is having a wonderful end of December, holidays and all!

We had a very lovely day, even though I was the first eliminated from our annual cribbage tournament.

Oh, and probably the best present was SO getting this year's gag gift at the Yankee Swap -- it's a push-button contraption that says "NO" in nearly every conceivable intonation. Right now he's teasing The Kidz with it, and they're barking back at it!

I need that.

We never played any games this year. I bet our daughter is bummed. Somehow she and her grandmother started cleaning her closet and 3 hours later they finished.

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa brought me (among various other smaller trinkets) a portable DVD player and this leather bomber jacket (http://www.amazon.com/Landing-Leathers-Flight-Leather-Bomber/dp/B000XP21FO/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1324875358&sr=1-1). (Any suggestions for a hat to go with it?)

Just got back from spending exactly enough time with the extended family. Don't get me wrong, we all love each other...but after about 3-4 hours, we run out of useful things to say.

Keeping in mind I have no clue what you look like or about fashion in general, I vote for this hat: HAT! (http://www.amazon.com/Fender-Crusher-Fedora-Fleur-Rocker/dp/B0059N398S/ref=sr_1_15?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1324878639&sr=1-15)

I thought about suggesting a cone hat (http://www.amazon.com/Pink-Soft-Foam-Velour-Princess/dp/B004P557K4/ref=sr_1_3?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1324878776&sr=1-3), but decided it didn't go very well.

I got the best gag gift this year. A Jesus action figure with glow in the dark hands (http://www.amazon.com/Historical-Figures-Action-Figure-Deluxe/dp/B000C9XB8W). I think it will be regifted year after year.

You got black rocks?
That is so unfair.
That Red Suited cookie theif sliped in, avoided all of my traps, stole my cookies ( white chocolet maccadamia nut ) and left me nothing. Just a bunch of stuff for my children to make a mess with.
And my dog who normaly barks at anyone she is not used to did not even whine.

Also, I cooked for four people and IT WAS AWESOME.

Happy [day after] Christmas, everyone! We've been gone for a few days, so I am hugging the laptop for warmth until the heater kicks in. BRR.

Santa brought me a sewing machine, and a whole slew of goodies for said sewing machine. But do I have any fabric? NO. Guess I'm going to have to make the trek over the hills this week to get some (oh darn).

Anyone else have leftover cookies? Anyone WANT some leftover cookies? Most of them are sugar free and actually taste good! No, really. They do!

Date: 2011-12-27 03:41 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] imafarmgirl.livejournal.com
I have left over cookies. I just ate a few. Yummy.

Picking out fabric will be fun! You'll be able to do all kinds of cool projects now.

We are having sunny days, so am pulling weeds, (no not that) and getting outdoors, well anything to get some exercise.

Thanks for offering but don't need the cookies!

I have tried to hide or freeze all the fat making goodies. Puddings, and pies, leftovers, bread, ...especially that thick fruit bread,...chocolate and nuts are hidden from view, if I have to hunt it or defrost it, I might not eat it.

Christmas was wonderful, loved the food, but now comes the moment of reckoning. Saw some friends, shopped a little and had son here for Christmas day. have a party for new Year, at a local friends house, walking distance.
This time last year a swarm of bees came and made a home on a chair on the verandah...hoping we don't get that again.
