It's down to the wire - http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/480443.html on the semi-finals. Which means, if history is any indication, grab some popcorn and settle in for the rest of the day!

I'm pretty sure that if I didn't vote for everyone, that I would be having a whole lot of problems trying to make up my mind of who I wanted in the finals. It's definitely one of those seasons where I could have easily had it at 4, or 5. . . or 10. . . and no one would have blinked at the quality of the work at the end.

That being said, by next week - we will have our new Idol, who I will immediately forget their real name because I will call them "7" and a pretty big announcement. Perhaps two announcements, if I really have to announce one of the worst kept non-secrets. ;) Not sure about that second one, but definitely talking about the first.

But that's next week! This week - we have 4 people who really would like some more of your time and attention! So make sure you are getting out there to read, comment and of course vote for your favorites!

Just finished reading all the entries today. And I wrote a third home game entry, but it's friends only, so I'm not going to bother to link it. People should be focusing on the contestants! Who are awesome! I'm biting my nails thinking how the next 11.5 hours are going to play out, especially since I have to go have dinner and then, like, sleep for the majority of the rest.

Gosh, a very quiet GR tonight.

I can say with absolute honesty that I will be happy with whichever contestant wins Idol, because they are all simply fantastic. Of course I have my pick as to who I think it'll be, but I'm not going to say ;D Don't want to jinx it for him/her!

A secret! I can never guess secrets. And I'm hopeless at knowing what's going on, too. Whenever there's some gossip or something at work, I am absolutely the last one to know... looking forward to finding out about this one, though!!

I should really go to bed right now but I washed my hair and it needs to dry. That is the ONLY reason I'm still up and on livejournal, of course. If my hair were dry, I'd be in bed for sure.

I think any of these people could win it and I'd say "I guessed thar" because at one point or another, they all were potential winners in my head. Great group of writers! I have my guess too but I won't say either :)

My hair always takes so long to dry even when it's kinda short. I usually pull my hair back in a ponytail while it's wet the night before and blow dry it in the morning because it's still wet. Otherwise, I'd have to get up 30-45 minutes earlier and who wants to do that?!? :P

I just wash mine in the morning and let it air dry. It's easier that way. Of course, my hair is fairly thin so it dries on it's own in about 20-30 minutes!

I never really know what goes on around these parts. I'm just here for the bacon and Cheetos!

I have magical quick-dry hair. Even when it was long it would air-dry super fast. The magical properties also include tangle resistance! So I can go to bed with wet hair and when I wake up it's dry and I can just run a comb right through it XD I agree it's kind of awesome, especially after seeing the gf wrench a brush through all the knots her hair collects!

Stayed up waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too late last night working on soooper seekrit projects... then as a way to wind down, I allowed myself to indulge with a little of the first book of Game of Thrones series (which is utterly f'ing FANTASTIC so far, oh by the way) and I couldn't put it down... I just got sucked in and lost track of time. Though I really should have known better because I *am* enjoying the book so damn much. Anyway, was up way past my bedtime and now I'm soooper sleepy.

It's gonna be a looooooooooong day. Hope everybody is well!

Don't you love staying up too late to read a good book? Hunger Games did that to me. I'll probably look into the series your reading now too, everyone is talking about it! I just need to get time to read...like you, once I start, I can't stop! And I desperately need my sleep every night!

Hope the day goes by quickly. Or take a nap. Your boss won't mind, I'm sure...just don't snore too loudly! Or talk about Richard Simmons and Carrot Top. I'm sure you'll wind up on the floor anyway, but I doubt your boss wants to see you strip down, so keep the clothes on, okay? :P

Everyone on the internets is talking about Harry Potter, which kind of upsets me because I probably won't see it until at least Saturday night. I wanna see it NAOW. *POUT*

Today I got a haircut, so my hair looks presentable now! I'm kind of gutted I have to tie it up for cadets later, because it looks all nice and long and cool, and it has shape that is something other than just "crazy thick and wavy".
I also manicured my nails and generally procrastinated on my thesis which I REALLY need to be writing. Like, REALLY NEED TO BE WRITING.

Also I can't decide what to eat for dinner. Do any of you have any good vegetarian recipes that I could try out?

I haven't been on a computer since Tuesday due to this amazing Super-Cold-From-Hell.

I called my health provider to tell them "I am feverish, ache-y, congested and exhausted from coughing myself awake every hour."

They said "Have you tried some chicken soup?"

Apparently, my health care provider is now being run by my German grandmother. :/

(My Irish grandmother would have recommended this whiskey concoction she used to make)

SO has a sure-fire recipe for what he calls a "hot toddy" -- perfect when you're under the weather. The official recipe calls for Jameson whiskey, but any will do in a pinch.
