How are you?

Well, OK, I know how you are. Six of you are "WTF!" and the rest of you are grateful and maybe silently snickering. :)

But other than that, how are you doing?

We are so close to the finish line right now, but obviously this week is going to be a hurdle. http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/476335.html are the newest topics added. Who will clear them without a problem and who will catch their foot on the way over and collapse, bringing it down with them?

I have a feeling that this week is going to decide quite a bit, and prove even more.

Seriously, though, so do not envy the final 6 right now. All I can say is good luck with it! I'm hoping to get a few Home Game entries written before the deadline *fingers crossed*

In other news, any True Blood fans in the house? I still have to watch the season premiere; I'm putting it off because I watched the first six minutes preview the other day and didn't think it was all that good :\

LOL, I'm still planning on home gaming everything, and intersecting with different people for all of the topics. I still only have two partners as yet, though, and have been too busy to work on much over the last three days. I have a few other people in mind I'd like to work with, but if anyone wants to raise their hand and work with me before I ask anyone else, let me know!

So far I've only maybe finished Atrophy and sent it off to my partner for that one, and have vaguely started Safety in Numbers.

I am totally loving all of these topics, though!

I would just like to take this moment to thank everyone who did not vote for me, did not choose me for immunity, and anything else that contributed to my elimination this week! There is no way I could have written six entries, especially with the emergency room trip I had to take this weekend and the internet out! (My mom, not me, and she is okay!)

I haven't been around but I would just like to say a very gleeful MARRIAGE EQUALITY IN NY IN 27 DAYS. Oh my god I love my state so much. I missed Pride, though, because my mom is in multiple splints!

Today I have a psychologist appointment and tomorrow I am going for a tattoo consult. I am getting pictures of some of my bees tattooed on me! And I have lunch in the park with my friends, which is always lovely!

I'm hoping to get my second tattoo for my birthday this year (in November). Still need to decide what I want, but at least I've narrowed it down to two: either a triskelion or a tiger face.

So java_fiend took today off and stayed an extra night! It was wonderful! Even if I have to go to work myself.... But still a nice surprise and nice waking up next to him on a Monday morning!

Now if only my cat isn't channeling the power of his vicious feline...she wouldn't stop biting me as hard as she could all night! She's never done that before! On top of being sicker from the antibiotics that's supposed to help...ack. I hate medicine sometime. I'll need to see a doctor today. You know those symptoms of allergic reaction they warn you about? Severe stomach pains and your throat sweeping shut? I has it. I has it all. That's just how things roll with me though.

Short version - a party including six guide dog users was denied seating and asked to leave the Bamboo Restaurant in Dedham, MA. Police were called and refused to help them. Media followed. We are personally friends with one of the dog handlers involved tikva.

Appalled doesn't even begin to describe my reaction.

I know the restaurant, but I've never eaten there. It's attached to a hotel.

What's even more appalling is that MA is supposedly one of the more disabled-friendly states in terms of accommodations, enforcing laws, and such. Frankly, I'm appalled AND speechless. Or, the icon says it all, metaphorically, of course.

I had a fun weekend - saw two movies (Soul Surfer and Cars 2 in 3D, got the oil changed in my car, got the car washed & cleaned inside and out, did a little shopping and some laundry, made Shepherd's Pie, and hung out with some friends. All in all, quite good!

Good Morning Idolers!

'twas a wonderful and slightly longer than usual with pixie117. I'm taking a couple of days off from work... just because I can... so I thought spending an extra night over there would be nice. Though I feel bad, between my snoring and her cat mauling her all night, the poor thing didn't get more than 30 minutes of sleep, I'm sure!!!

The feline companion was very happy to see me this morning. And is actually sitting on my desk next to me purring contentedly. But has a very curious look on his face as he listens to me using every horrible and foul word I can think of in conjunction with somebody named "Gary."

5 entries... so far? Ouch. And double ouch. I am suddenly realizing that my two lovely, lovely, lovely "mental health" days away from the office are now going to be stress-fests!!! ACK!!!

It was a wonderful weekend :) it's put me in a better mood already to have had you around longer than usual. Though SoCo had to have sent signals to Miss Kitty to be cruel and malicious for revenge on keeping you away! I bet he's very happy you're spending two days with him :)

And no, you did not keep me up!!!

Plus, you have that other stuff to work on...don't forget about that deadline! And no complaining allowed...I can name several people who would happily be in your shoes :P

I am going to err on the side of Gary being a bit too nice to give us one on Thursday, for the simple fact that we're not all in the same timezones and this would mean that some people would have a lot less hours in which to write than others!
