To clear up any confusion, and to make sure that everyone has seen them, "What did Gary mean" by posting the topics in two threads http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/475180.html and http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/475554.html

Does that mean that current contestants need to write BOTH of them? Yes.

Does the second one mentioning "a friend" mean that you have to get a friend to write them? No. That means that it is a "friend" to the first topic. Topics like having friends too you know.

Will there be more? That would be telling. But if you are in the Top 6 and you aren't prepared to be hit with something. . .

Can I tie the entries together? If you mean write it as a continuing story - sure. If you mean write them as one story with one link, no. If you mean physically tying up the story - you need to talk to the topics about that. It's all about consent from all parties involved. If they are OK with it - why should anyone else have a problem? I do know that Topic - Week 30 (2)'s SO doesn't go for that sort of thing, so obviously that's off the table. There is still (1) and anything that comes after! You don't have to tie up every single topic out there! Geez, you've got a problem! :P

Where was I? Oh yes! If you are a current contestant - Write both entries and any that come after. If you are Home Gamer, there might be a thread a little later. We'll see how good you end up being!! *looks around the room... yeah, that's kind of what I figured!)

Oh man, I was just suggesting to mstrobel that you might pull a one topic a day trick... and you've already done two topics in two days. Will there be another tonight? Will it be a 14 topic week? :O

I am excited to see how this turns out, though.

I wasn't expecting the second topic to pop up that quickly. I'm also wondering if you're going to stop at 2, or add more later in the week... ooh, suspense!

I'm feeling annoyed right now because I seem to have writer's block or something. I want to write, but it's just not happening. I'm not one to force myself into these things, though, because that's the quickest way to get me to hate something, so I will just sit and twiddle my thumbs and hope that I get over it sooner rather than later.

Also, and most importantly, TRANSFORMERS NEXT WEEK, YAY!!!

java_fiend is sooooo excited for Transformers! I have to admit...I haven't seen any of the others.... But I'll probably entertain him and go along anyway to see him happy as a little boy on Christmas :)

Forcing myself to write something is the quickest way for me to hate something too...it's happened a couple times this season. When I hate what I write, I get very frustrated at myself...and trust me, I know how annoying that all can be :(

Got to meet @neilhimself (aka Neil Gaiman) last night at the National Press Club.

I spoke (very briefly) about my maizing_grace stuff and how someone had suggested it was a rip-off of American Gods, the book he was currently promoting/signing.

Not much going on down here, just hanging with family all day while rattsu ferries us from place to place and is utterly amazing.

Feeling like total ass today. Bleh. I need to kick this thing pronto as pixie117 and I will be running the Great Urban Race tomorrow. We are really hoping to place in the Top 3 because we'll win cash but more importantly... a paid entry to the championship in New Orleans! And since this one is in our local area, I think we have a good shot at it!!!

It's just another day at the office here. Thankfully, there's just a couple more hours to slog through.
