[Poll #1753938]
One thing becomes apparent when you read these entries from our Top 8. You had better get out your razor blades, because if you are reading them and trying to pick your favorites on the basis of quality, that is what you are going to need to make that decision.
They are all outstanding.
I'm really not sure how we are going to lose 2 more of them this week. But that is exactly what is going to happen.
So, read the entries, comment on them, and vote for your favorites - and let your friends know to do the same. (Because really, who *can't* take the time to read 8 entries??? Especially ones this good!)
The poll will close Thursday June 23rd at 8pm EDT . Good luck to everyone!

Date: 2011-06-21 03:31 am (UTC)If you've run out of stuff to read, and you're curious, I wrote a second entry this week that didn't quite make the cut. I think its pretty funny and you can read it here (http://joeymichaels.livejournal.com/605302.html).

But I am kind of intrigued by the massive variety of voting styles, especially when I don't have any real criteria, only instinct.

Date: 2011-06-21 02:00 pm (UTC)A couple of weeks ago though, I found myself voting for every single contestant, so then I added in another criteria, and that one was use of the prompt.
I'm no genius, but if I couldn't see how it related to the prompt, or where the prompt fit it (not that it has to use the word mind you; actually I prefer it when it's just a subtle allusion to the prompt) then it doesn't get a vote.
This week I need to add another one. Or maybe two. I'll mention it when I have it better defined!
