I saw Thor in 3D! It was fun, my grandma hated it, though... Oh and we had a power outage, gogo 90° heat even at 9pm.... Oh and I saw EXTREME JUMP ROPING buahaha, and a symphony. And ate lots of really really good food, though the lamb chops we were supposed to eat didn't happen last night due to power outages *sadface*

My weekend was great, as usual. I'm just really cranky that it's over and that it's Monday. The week should start on Thursday or something. Ugh. I hate being that person who counts down till Friday constantly, but alas, I am. We didn't do much of what we planned to do. We didn't see Pirates. We didn't write. We didn't go to the beach. I swear we get abducted by aliens or something and somehow lose several hours at a time since it just goes by too freaking fast.

My boss will be in today, and I'll be playing lots of games of catch up still from my vacation last week...so not sure how much time I'll have to play in here. As if Mondays didn't suck enough. *sigh*

I spent my weekend cleaning and packing and preparing for Olivia's preschool graduation on Friday. I have Amish finished packing for myself and the kids. The hubby is in charge of packing for himself. I'm back in court in Wueens this morning and hoping I won't get stuck here until noon which is normally the case!

I spent this past weekend in a sea of papers, receipts, and other assorted paper items, plus our ever trusty shredder. There are currently 20 bags outside waiting for the recycling truck. We're not even halfway through :shudder:

I also priced dumpsters. The cheapest one I've found so far is a little over $300 for a week, and they'll give you 20% off if you can turn it around in 1-2 days, meaning you fill, they pick up, they bring it back, etc. BUT before I can do any of that SO has to have his old car picked up. And before THAT happens, yadda yadda yadda.

Can I go back to bed? Please?

I had a wonderful time camping with my kids....until we came home. We stopped for pizza, my son took one bite and threw up all over the both of us. Then I got home, got him cleaned up and settled, my daughter went for a bike ride and fell, badly spraining her wrist. I have approximately 86 loads of laundry to do and a bugbite in the middle of my back that is making my life a living hell.

All this pales in comparison to the agony of this damn topic, however.

You also reminded me of what my nightmare was last night. Last night I was (dreams are weird) dreamed I was eating live oysters with feet that I kept throwing up.

I'd forgotten my dream until I read your status. Sorry your vomit problems with kids were RL!

We saw it a few weeks ago. I rather liked the young actress who played Hanna - she was a good mix of "innocent but deadly." It was sort of a sad movie IMO, and of course there was a bit of gore, but overall I liked it.

My weekend was uneventful - made meatloaf, got my hair cut, wrote a Home Game entry (http://roina-arwen.livejournal.com/1521133.html) in poetic format, and got caught up on some TV watching.

All in all, rather relaxing. Oh, and "Wonderfalls" was an excellent - if short lived - series!

I stuck to the rivers and lakes that I'm used to. I think I left the house once to go to Wal-Mart. I had tons of art work to finish for a project and stuff to do around the house.

Know what's awesome? Waiting TWENTY FREAKING MINUTES for my government laptop to start up. Seriously, I've been waiting for 20 minutes and it's still all "Applying your personal settings".

Friday was the last day of school and Saturday was graduation so AS OF YESTERDAY I AM FREEEEEE!!!! No students, no assignments, no papers to grade until the end of August. BEST WEEKEND EVER!

Though my boyfriend is leaving for Japan on Wednesday and I won't be able to join him until the first of July :( So, maybe a little bittersweet.

This was a very low-LJI activity weekend. Besides the absence of Green Rooms, I noticed that comment activity on the posted entries was really rather low. I seem to recall this being the case last season, too, but I'm going to make an effort to bring at least a little attention to everyone's entries - or at least LJI in general - in the next couple of days. It vexes me that we all had so many more readers months and months ago.

In cat news, kittymichaels continues to enjoy his brief window of steroid induced gluttony. I've been reading stories about kitties that went into remission once they'd been on the steroids for a few weeks, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but am crossing my fingers none-the-less.

Performed on Saturday. Great show. Much acclaim. Improv rocks.

I took a long lunch today and told my boss I had to run some errands to get my Idol entry edited and perfected. I will be working late tonight and a few days this week, but guess what? It's worth it. Let's hope I have an entry to post here soon though since I do need to get back to work before I have to work 12 hour days all week :P

I probably could have told my boss why too since he knows all about my participation in this and asks me about it all the time. Now that's a cool boss :D

So, hi there, I'm new. comedychick ensnared me into checking out the community and I did, and I liked what I saw. Ummm *mumblemumble* not really sure what to do here...

I understand that the current prompt is noumenon. I was trying to come up with a satisfactory definition for it, and in doing so, I kind of came up with an idea for what I would write in response. I'm very interested in magical realism, and one of my goals as a writer is to find the right balance between the magic and the realism, that perfect balance that writers like Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Toni Morrison manage so flawlessly. I'll....let you know when I get there.

I'm going to see X-Men First Class tonight, and then I'm going to start reading the contestants' entries. I'm really excited about this community.

Gary, can I just say that this free topic is like the sweetest thing ever? I'm going to try not to let you down and write something uplifting. A fairy tale perhaps. We shall see what I have to do this week...

And I'm going to tell all my friends about it too. One person came forward today and told me she wants to play, she's just scared and this might be a good way to get her feet wet without threat of elimination :)
