Wow! What a finish!!!

With the way that poll was jumping during the last few hours, I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to see when I hit "close".

Before we get to that though, I do want to put some people on notice: I'm sure you think you are trying to help, and there weren't enough of them to shift the results, but ultimately the person/people you like are going to be the ones who end up suffering/being cheated.

I don't want to see any more accounts for Harry Potter characters voting. (or any other accounts someone may have set up to write "in character".) If you want to contact me, it's clauderainsrm@gmail.com and we can discuss it.

It's certainly not widespread, but it has been noticed and it needs to stop now before it does cost your favorite their shot. I hate bringing it up (because it brings a distaste to people's mouths, but hopefully the fact that I do have an eye on it reassures people in that same breath), but I dislike the idea that someone thought that I wasn't paying attention. You get what you put into Idol, and I'm quite certain no one wants you to add that sort of thing to their experience. Even if you think you are being helpful. So cut it out.

Now we get to the results:

We established that, with Round Two, regardless of the outcome, it was going to be a sad one. Sure enough, that certainly turned out to be the case.

Being Jury members, that means they had better stick around, to help decide how this season is going to play out! But I hope that we continue to see them around regardless! Thank you for everything. Getting to this point in the competition is an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations.

Wow at that poll though. That was just too crazy. And the jury bit? Oh how freaking exciting!!! I loved that last season!

I have enjoyed reading all of these writers during the competition, and I'm sad that we'll be losing the different perspectives they all brought to the competition.

I'll also go ahead and admit that from early on basric was my pick for the win, so this week especially has blown my mind.

That was a crazy poll to watch. I seriously wrote out my farewell post around 8 pm and was just waiting to hit "submit", because I thought for sure I was going out. I'm feeling very weird right now, and can't think of too much to say other than this was a tremendous round, and I'm very surprised at the outcome.

I'm glad I wasn't able to watch what I've heard was an intense end to this week's round two poll, because wow. I've voted for all four of you and I'm sorry to see you leaving the comp. as competitors. But at least you'll be around and still involved in some capacity (I hope so, anyway).

Special shout-out to i_17bingo: I hope you Home Game it and I hope you come back next season because I am selfish and want moar Max adventures!

I never expected to get beyond the first vote. Thanks to all of you who bothered to take the time to read my entries and especially to take the time to comment.

I love the evil twists and thought I would go on the first one thrown at us. I knew one person when I began and now I have so many new friends. I never expected to win and am thrilled to have made it this far. Good luck to you all, I have my favorites.

HOLY SHIT I just realised we lost 3 newbies in one fell swoop! Okay, granted, more newbies signed up to this round two than vets, but still... here I was hoping we wouldn't lose too many men in this round since all but one signed up, that I didn't think to count the newbies! We only have 3 newbies left to do round 2 now so hopefully we won't lose them, too.

Farewell to you all. Lily was a refreshing new voice, i_17bingo could always be counted on for something unique and funny, basric's medical stories were always brilliant, while imafarmgirl has been fabulous for over 100 weeks now.
