If someone looks at my eyes right now, I should probably point out that I was doing some late night cleaning and got something in one of them.

That's why they look irritated. Everyone knows that I don't have "emotions".

It's another rough week of eliminations. But every week is a rough week. The further into this we get, the more difficult it is going to become.

Before we get to the results though - the question everyone has been asking is who did vaguelyclear team up with? As the Wild Card in the equation, where goes vaguelyclear so goes the possible results.

She went with i_17bingo and supremegoddess1! So congratulations to the three of you, you are definitely safe this week!

As for the rest, there were some close races, as usual, but the four people leaving us today are

It's a tough position to be in, but as amenquohi did last week, this week I decided to trio it up with the first pair to ask since that seemed the fairest way to pick. And if no one had asked, I would have just drawn a pair out of a hat, or something.

It's getting harder and harder to see people leaving as the weeks go by. I should be used to it, but I'm not, unfortunately. Really sorry to see you four leaving us, but I do hope you stick around anyway!

It was bound to happen sooner or later -- and I had been figuring it would happen far, far sooner than this, lol, with me being a n00b and there being such talented people in this thing every week. So I'm pretty pleased with how the season went for me.

I had a blast, guys -- thanks to each and every one of you who ever read or voted for or commented on any of my pieces, and special thanks to both agirlnamedluna and roina_arwen who were just awesome intersection partners these past two weeks. I'd be honored to work with either one of you again next year! :D

And of course, extra special thanks to Gary for steering this crazy Idol ship every week. I have really enjoyed participating each week, and that's not only due to the great people in the contest itself but due to you keeping everything so well in order at the helm. Even when the 'order' is 'total chaos,' lol. ;)

i've fully expected to go out on the last few rounds, as my vote totals have dwindled lately. I'm more upset that my low vote totals wound up dragging a partner down. I actually thought about just not partnering up this week, for fear something like this would happen.

then again, with the next week being a three-pronged partner attack, i guess it wouldn't have been any easier had i made it through this week.

thanks to everyone who kept up with the story. apologies in advance, but i'm not going to be able to keep it up in the home game. i need to refocus on the novel and finish that so i can move on to other projects. i really enjoyed doing idol this year though. so thanks for that, sincerely.
