FOX did get a front row seat out of it though - the front row AP seat that was given up in exchange for her seat is now a FOX seat.

So, a win/lose situation.

Yeah. Wasn't thrilled about that. But, then I saw where several years ago, the WHCA had promised the Thomas seat would go to Fox when she retired (as a concession to them not fighting CNN for their seat)... so it was nice to at least see the WHCA respond to public outcry on some level and not follow through on good-ole-boys-network promises of the past. Front row, but at least not front and center.

And, NPR did get to move from the 3rd row to the 2nd. Moving on up.

All that said... it's still kind of sad to think of the press room without Thomas. I liked her spunk.
