Both of you have had absolutely wild rides this season (edit to add - see that was true regardless of who it was!), and it's been a pleasure to watch and read you.

Thank you to all of the Partners who helped out this week. All of you did such a wonderful job, and I hope that regardless of the outcome that you were told that often.

The season is winding down, so I certainly hope you will all be around to watch how this thing turns out!

Everyone left in the contest is on my f-list, so I was going to see two f-listers leave in this post regardless of who they were. I would like to congratulate mstrobel for maintaining her story/characters this long because I don't think anyone else has ever got this far by writing a consistent storyline (and if we're talking about outlasting numbers, she's definitely got the furthest) and the simple fact that intrepia wrote poetry the past few weeks that kicked ass in the polls at a stage when it would be suicide for most people says a lot about her talent and appeal.

Yes, to all of this. I've been continuously impressed with the way that mstrobel managed to weave the topics in and out of her character's lives. And as I said above, intrepia is particularly fearsome and inspiring - she isn't held down by any unspoken "rules" about what should and shouldn't be written here.

I am most crushed at mstrobel's departure. Watching the polls at the end she was the only one I could tell was in danger.

Now I'm going to have to edit my 5 favourite entries home game post because she was the only one of the remaining 7 competitors that I'd included, and I'd mentioned she was still in competition.

Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if these two are breathing a sigh of relief over not having to write all 5 entries!

I'm flattered that anyone had me in their top 5! I've really felt like a very dark horse for a long time now, and I'm stunned to have gotten as far as I did. But I really appreciate your confidence, even if it wasn't warranted, haha!

*yawns* so, this damn foreigner JUST WOKE UP. Why does all the interesting stuff always happen when I'm asleep?? :P (Although okay, I'm really glad I was asleep for this one!)

It's probably funny in light of this that while I was powering up the laptop - because like I was just going to go back to SLEEP without checking! - my thought pattern was pretty much "pleeeease anyone but talonkarrde88!" So yay and phew and I don't know if I'm allowed to mention it, but that sweetheart offered to sacrifice himself for me. UM, HELL NO. ♥ I'm out and I am fine with that :)

I always knew I'd come 6th. Or 7th. No, really. Because during the very first week of polls, I had two crazy ideas. One, to note down the first top ten and see how far everyone in that list went - like to see if the strong frontrunners stayed strong or if, like racehorses, they used up all their energy and petered out by halfway. And two, to see where I placed because I had this, like, vision (totally not alcohol-induced) that wherever I came in week 1 would be where I finished.

I came seventh. Or, if you count a tie below me as one not two, then I came sixth. Damn. Why don't I have that sort of vision when it comes to lottery numbers??

When I opened this page and saw our names at the top I was, at first, confused. Why were our names there? What had we done? It took me a few seconds to realise oh, duh, we were eliminated, for the simple reason that the idea of you being eliminated was the most foreign thing on earth to me! I did not see that coming, was not expecting it, and you could have knocked me down with a feather.

Your recent intersection with zia_narratora was one of my favourite things ever, although it might even be usurped by Elephant Bombs which dammit, still makes me cry. Or perhaps your retelling of Hansel and Gretel. I was also captivated by your fortune telling entry and am still kind of amazed at how you put it together - as well as being awesomely creative and such a unique idea, the actual structuring of it is way beyond my un-tech-savvy brain! I loved how you 'stepped outside the box' there, not just writing an entry but creating something that all the readers could really get into.

In short, you're awesome :)
