I write like A. Whiteguy.

Antonio Whiteguy was the first person to actually put chalk to the wall to write down a word. Most people don't know this. But it's a proven historical fact (that I just made up)- I'm sure you can find it on Wikipedia. (see also: the threat of bears)

That word that he wrote, creating the written language was unfortunately lost to us because (1) he was a doctor and thus no one could read what he wrote (2) No one had invented reading yet (3) He wrote it in red and green and people back then were color blind.

When it comes to "being color blind", I'm with Mitch Hedberg:
"You know when it comes to racism, people say: " I don't care if they're black, white, purple or green"... Ooh hold on now: Purple or Green? You gotta draw the line somewhere! To hell with purple people! - Unless they're suffocating - then help 'em."

Have you taken that meme that's been going around? That's a great name for that guy, I wonder if his parents knew what they were doing....

People back then were color blind..... Say waaaaaat? How do you not be color blind, that makes no sense....

Also, I don't go to the city. :( Guess I'm not pretty enough... *pout*

I really have nothing to say. I enjoy rambling. How's everyone else doing? :D

We're driving up to Chicago today, although we won't be in the city proper until at least tomorrow; our hotel is out in the 'burbs. =)

One of my old college friends posts a weekly Mitch Hedberg quote on Facebook, and now I get confused because you always talk about Mitch Hedberg, too.

Yesterday the doggie I've been living with was not doing so well. It seems like today might be another bad day. He had lyme disease before my friend adopted him, and it wasn't treated for a long time, so now he's got a lot of joint problems (he's also half great dane, so his bone structure ain't so hot to start). Anyway, it's kind of stressful, because now I'm worrying about him a lot, too. And it's hard, because animals can't tell you what's wrong or what they need.

Poor doggie!

My cats try to tell me what they need, but alas I fear I don't do a good job of interpreting.

Today is my last day of work until Monday, w00t. I'll be leaving early today as we're driving up to Chicago for the weekend. Mmmm... Chicago-style pizza! We'll be visiting some friends, seeing Shrek: The Musical, and just overall having a relaxing weekend away, enjoying deep-dish pizza.

It's my opinion that the further away one gets from the origin of a specific food, the worse it tends to be. Buffalo wings are best in Buffalo; Chicago-style pizza is best in Chicago.

One of these days I'm going to go to Switzerland and see if their Swiss cheese is any better than what we get here!

Chicago style pizza is YUM! And I agree, it's better in Chicago than anywhere else! I've never been to Buffalo...hmmmm but I love some buffalo wings :)

I'm going to Philadelphia on Tuesday.. Does that count? Does that make me pretty? :) I am flying out for an interview. Just one day there. I've never been so I'm excited! Though also nervous a bit since I have to maneuver around the city and as most people know, I'm directionally challenged enough to get lost with a GPS!

I should be heading to Newport Beach, CA for an interview soon! I hope to meet up with some awesome people while there :)

Today is... well... today. Weird, odd clusterf**k of a day... but strangely enough, not in a bad way. Just sort of... odd. Like there's oddness in the air. Perhaps the government put oddness into the air. Not outside the realm of possibility if you believe everything the current government is being blamed for anyway...

But I digress...

People calling in to my office today are annoying me. I had a couple of people call in, not like the answers I gave them and then call back a few minutes later hoping to speak to somebody else to get a "different" answer. Being that there's only two of us in my office, they'll just have to learn to deal with the answer I gave them. Idiots.

From: [identity profile] pixiebelle.livejournal.com
Odd? Hmmm I'm curious now :P

Stupid people are stupid. Period. They ask stupid questions because they are stupid, and they go and prove it even more do by calling in again. Perhaps I should call in and ask some questions so you could talk to someone smart for a change! lol

Has anyone else read "A Prayer for Owen Meaney" By John Irving?

(this will sound ignorant but..) since he is famous, I wasn't sure I would enjoy it but it's a really good book. It was one I couldn't put down and Irving ties all the elements together so well in the end, it's just...amazing.

I really like it when everything that seems disconnected becomes important in the end.

It's been an irritating day. I've been prepping a motion to get to court. I'll have to take it to Staples tomorrow for photocopying. I cannot tell you what a tedious and annoying task it's been!

On the bright side, working from home meant that I could take a ten minute break to eat pretzels covered in frosting while topless on my couch.

Hoping I can settle a case tonight. It's going to be a hard sell to the client, but it's really in her best interest, so we'll see.
