Well all right, "hello" for now. For now.

Did everyone have a good fourth/weekend? Or a good fourth weekend? (as opposed to the grappy third and second weekends people have been happening - and let's not even get into those fifth weekends. Unless it's a fifth of something else!)

Since I posted so late, and a lot of people are still celebrating with time off - I'll throw something out there that I've noticed over the course of 6 seasons:

How many people say "I don't vote" or "I didn't do that" or even "someone else did such and such", when I know that those things aren't true. (in the latter cases, in usually involves that they voted a certain way and it didn't happen)

I'm not certain if I should take that as a compliment that they know that I'm not going to call them on it, them knowing that I take the voting seriously. See also: IPs and who did or didn't post from where. :) (more of an issue in previous seasons, but it's come up)

The second part being the "wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that Gary was ____". (Fill in the blank on someone posting commentary and/or a contestant)

I'm not a fan of "anonymous commentary" to begin with. I think you need to be upfront with people. So no - don't look for me to ever do it.

Nor would I compete, under any other name, for any circumstance.

I know there are people out there who do it in their own competitions. That's an ethical line that I just can not cross. For other folks, they don't see that line - but being both a competitor and the person setting things up/knowing how people vote and being trusted to deal with everything in a reasonable manner?
I don't think that I would end up sleeping at night doing something like that. (I *wish* that was hyperbole.)

I got discharged from the hospital today. I had a rough Saturday night and Sunday day, but I rebounded nicely and feel pretty okay today. Apparently the secret is breaking down and taking the oxycodone they give me. Dammit.

My best friend claims my face seems thinner already. I don't know about all that, but I feel okay. I'm definitely out of work for the next week, but I'm shooting to go back the week after. My boss has said I can take as much time as I need though.

I took my three children traveling and ended up needing $500 worth of car maintenance repair. I don't even know how we will survive the rest of the summer, now, because I had that money banked to pay for daycare. I HATE car repairs.
