Tomorrow (in the US at least.) it's Record Store Day. So if you still remember what it's like to go into a real live store and buy new music from real live people - check out your local indepedent record store! Most of them are doing something cool/having sales.

(Mine is having an entire day of free music and beer - so who knows what *yours* might be doing!!)

I woke up this morning very early freaking out because somehow I had slept in a position that put my entire left arm asleep. From the shoulder to my fingers. It was a very odd sensation. And it HURT as the sensation came back.

I'm still juggling multiple projects in the air, but tonight I get to go out for drinks. With a guy. I'm a bit nervous, but I'm also excited. I've known this guy for a while as one of those friends of friends thing. So if nothing else this will be a great time out with a friend.

Sunday I'm going to finally get my bed over here and hopefully play the last round of Furniture Tetris.

No fun for me today, I've been slowly killing my soul with PowerPoint.

I've also been repeatedly confronted with the rather awful truth that the only way to get through a pile of work is to just effing do it.

The volcano cloud has delayed the visitors we were supposed to have this weekend, and I can't say I'm upset they won't be coming tomorrow morning. I don't mind visitors, but their work schedule is so weird, they have to schedule holidays about 6 months in advance, and how the hell am I supposed to know in November if April 17th will be convenient?

I didn't even know I was pregnant at the time.

Wow. I've never been in a Record Store before. Ever. Been in a Harmony House full of CDs... once. That count? >.>

Today I am harvesting tomatoes for my co-op. I already have my elephant but I figure I'll help my friends out. As long as they can give me a pumpkin gold!

Then I'm taking a shower. Doing a dance of money fortune, checking the mail to see if my unemployment check has come yet, then off to Sam's Club regardless. I really need to stock up on some of the essentials, and Sam's the best place to do so. :)

I'm over here, working like crazy and freaking out (and vice versa). All I can think about is how I'm at the point where I'd willingly pay someone to give me an hour-long massage.

Oh, and I spilled coffee all over my cell phone and now the screen is all white and it is making wild beepy noises and so I shut it off in the hopes it will dry in a bit... I lost my last phone when I dropped it in a cup of soy milk, though. I should probably stay away from liquids with my phone. :/

Anyhoo....I got my voting done last night (yay!), and tonight I intend to read my own tribe & the home game entries.

Yikes. I'm sorry that you're having such a poopy day. And yes, liquids and electronics don't work and play well together. Perhaps you should just start putting your drinks in a sippy cup? :-)

I look somewhat put together, I don't require an energy drink, no one has peed in their pants, and second graders have not yet used inappropriate language. The day is good. My goal is that next week will be similar.

hmm I might have to check out my local record store tomorrow then. We have a Vintage Vinyl store downtown and I am sure they are doing something to celebrate.

I think I had the most exciting week ever. I am sort of sad to see it end, but hope next week can be just as fun :)

I realized last night, when (once again) I couldn't sleep, that I am seriously afraid of success failure.

I should be investing my time wisely right now: doing laundry, planting flower bulbs, making up promotional materials for WTRS, or even sewing stock in preparation for the upcoming MD and VA Ren Fairs (that is what my business is, after all).

But I'm not. Last night I played DDR3 for 5 hours, then Wii Resort for another hour. So far today I have been playing Solitaire and watching the birds play in the back yard. I managed to get one load of sheets in, early this morning, but that's it.

I need some motivation...

The recent "rains" around these parts have caused an infestation of weeds that must be destroyed this weekend. And I'm hoping to get a fire lit under my ass to start the book I've been pondering for months.

It's my son's 7th birthday party today. It was his birthday 10 days ago but it's the middle of the school holidays, so we put it off until today since the two sets of siblings we invited couldn't make it any earlier. I have baked and decorated a rainbow cake, I have planned the Lego Agents themed games (he decided before his 6th birthday that this year would be Lego Agents. I'm hoping he's forgotten that his 8th birthday is meant to be Lego Indiana Jones...), I have bought all the stuff and now I need to zip round to finish tidying the house and make the rice krispies treats (yay for dairy/gluten free rice puffs and marshmallows!).

I am glad I have voted for the appropriate tribe. I'm going to try to read mine later but I may not get the chance since we also have quite a busy day tomorrow as well (although with the time difference, I can't remember when the poll closes and it make not matter).
