I feel rushed. It has been nearly three years since I've worked this close to a deadline. I have approximately 6 hours worth of work to do in about 4 hours to make it to UPS in time to ship overnight. Yeah, it's due in NY tomorrow. I'm freaking out. My fingers and hands hurt but I have to keep going.

Oh, and to add a wrench in the works, I need to leave here by 4pm at the latest to make it out to Tampa to meet up with an old friend at 5pm. GAH!

Don't mind me, I'm going to go sit in the corner and rock back and forth while crocheting my fingers to the bone.

A mix of all. I try to remember what reviews I read, whether it's by an author I enjoy, etc. It also depends on what mood I'm in. I picked up "First They Killed My Father" and it took me weeks to get to and through just because I wasn't necessarily in the mood for the story.

anyone else concerned about this whole 2 topics thing? I am assuming there will be two tribes, which if we were split evenly would be 20 in each, which, yikes that's rough! But let's face it, we are not going to be split evenly.

Two topics = two tribes would be my theory as well. Then it is just a matter of how many are going home from each tribe (bottom 1? bottom 2? more??) and hoping to be in the tribe with more people, LOL.

Yesterday I picked up what may well be the Cutest Kittens Known To Man, and they're currently sleeping on my bed.

Today, I am working on a failsome draft of my BA paper. I've no idea how I'm supposed to draw the thing out to 6-8k words; currently it's at 1257 and I'm really struggling to come up with what I can possibly write to add another ~300-450 words to that (I need to turn in five pages in two and a half hour, and I've currently just under four). This whole paper has been an odd mix of enthusiasm and failure for me; I love the subject, I know it has potential, but finding secondary sources is proving only marginally more successful than good old Alchemy.

And then Friday or Saturday I need to bake a cake or three at my parents', and Saturday night probably I should prepare Sunday lunch so I can just chuck it in the oven/crockpot on Sunday to feed my guests.

I think I found the gift of time today. Also the gift of privacy, so I will be posting my Home Game entry later this AM or early PM. I hate having to sneak, but dammit, no trip-trapper's gonna keep my from my writing community! My theme continues to be "I Will Survive".

It is not a really good day today. I worked most of Sunday and over 12 hours yesterday, only to miss my deadline and send an email at 10:15 pm..... and then come in this morning to find out that due to our work email system being black-listed as spam last night, the files never made it to the client.

After school, I am going to go see Clash of the Titans with a friend of mine, and then go home and write my LJ entry. I have a good idea for my entry, so I'm hoping I can get it done tonight. And then GLEE. Can't wait! It's going to be so amazing.

Got caffeine. Slightly better. Spent morning training co-worker.

Last night I was supposed to work on my entry, work on cover letters/applications, do some cleaning/tidying, and do laundry. Only managed to do laundry and watch tv, because I was so rundown feeling.

Not sure what tonight will be like. Want to get my entry written, but getting some jobs applied to seems more important, you know? I'm sure I can do both if I buckle down... maybe I need to bust out the Adderall (since I still have a small amount left).

In other news... I found a martial arts school that teaches the discipline I want to learn so I'm going down to talk to them after work today. I'm very much looking forward to starting classes... I just hope this school is a good one that I like. *fingers crossed*
