Final Green Room of Season Five

Hello.

I hope you guys are having a good weekend!

I have a feeling that I'm going to be taking awhile looking over votes just to verify. Then again, the country music awards are apparently on, so no Amazing Race.

So verifying votes - and saying my goodbyes to these final four - that's what is going on with *my* day. OK - fine - and watching Hulu!*g* There's going to be some of that as well!*G*

Since this tends to get lost after the big announcement - I'll do it now - Thank you to everyone who has helped make this season so fantastic.

A special thank you to n_decisive and kithan my assistants this season.

Real life side tracked both of them - but the help that they were able to give was pretty much essential. (Even in the brief time n_decisive was able to serve she formatted the method that I used to keep track of everyone right up to the end! and of course kithan was able to step up and help when there was literally no way of me getting to a computer in time!!)

Even more helpful was what they taught me - that I could actually do a lot of the job if I needed to do it. Which is something that I wasn't sure about before - and certainly made life more difficult in the past. So, thank you to both of you.

Thank you to all 195 contestants, their families, friends - and people who discovered their work throughout the course of the season. Literally could not have done this without you.

There were some bumps and bruises along the way, but I will say this for it - in retrospect they were mostly self contained and ended up being dealt with enough that they were no longer issues within the competition itself.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this season ends!!!

I am glad you gained the confidence to see you really could do the job yourself, and happy that n_decisive and kithan were able to help you to see that.

On a totally different note, I never watch the Amazing Race, but just saw that Mike White had been playing with his Dad?! I LOVE Mike White. If I had known at the start of the season I probably would have watched it!

Stopping in from the start of my two show day - or twodoshay. Someone tripped over their tongue years ago and that's what came out - we decided that somehow a twodoshay sounded like more fun. Anyway...

This competition has been a lot of fun and I've met many great people. I've voted in the final four, so now there is just the waiting.

As little as I surfaced, I'm going to really miss idol. I know that a break is necessary, no one can keep going at this pace forever, but I will be looking forward to the next season. Thanks for all your hard work, Gary. Thanks for everything you shared, contestants and home game players. Thanks for the fun, green room participants.

I'm torn...

since traditionally lj idol winners no longer compete in LJ Idol, a part of me wants the people I like reading the most NOT to win, so I can see them next season!!!!

Ah, is the banquet technically the last green room party? or what?

Everyone is welcomed to friend me as you embark my journey, ... If I do move, you will see the documentation of a life-long change in my life of independence. Even if I don't, I will pursue other interests and continue the job-hunt (with limited success), in my world as a dual sensory impaired person. I will embark and continue to walk with my head high and walk forward towards the "light".

Nixon will be at my side... He turns six years old in a month.

I could have done without a headache I woke up with this morning, though. Please comment here if you want to friend. The more the merrier and more support I get in my new-found, hopeful dreams to come true.
