(1) I'll need to take some time to actually rest and set it up

(2) People have a *lot* of control over when the next season starts. The more enthuastic people are at the end of this one, and during the break - the more likely I am to want to devote my time and energy to getting another season started. (just being honest - why would *anyone* want to play for an empty room?)

I am sorry for being so absent the last week or so, my fellow greenies. I really need to go back and see what you have been up to. No good, I hope. I promise to also give credit for all the "first posts." I have neither forgotten nor ignored them; I have been mostly away from LJ for a while, but I am trying to overcome the problems.

Anyway... So, this is it huh? The end of Season Five? Wow.

I have not been in here forever, but just wanted to pop in and say all final posts look fantastic! I started off with abbismom's post and thought "WOW this is the best final post I've ever read!" And I read the other three today, and I can see she's in such impressive company. Whoever wins this season seems to really deserve it.

This has been a wild ride.

Gary, you deserve a rest. I think few people realize, or spend any time thinking about, how much you pour of your energy and time into this competition.

I haven't been in the GR much, because my world is still crazy. Monday starts training season for me, so this is actually pretty good timing, because I hate feeling like I'm missing stuff, and reading a GR after the fact is like eating re-heated french fries.

Speaking of which, we should clean out the GR refrigerator ::makes soup and stir fry with viable leftovers:: and I'm not sure we want to leave all this liquor behind the bar.

Looks like I'm coming in a solid third. I came back yesterday from a strawberry-picking outing with my girls and saw that boxsofrain had pulled into the lead over previously-solid first place holder darkprism! I think Alex and I are probably going to stay in third and fourth, but I wonder if we'll see some back and forth between the final two until the very end? It's nail-biting!

Well, there's one advantage to not winning: I'll get to compete again, if Gary will have me!
