A few words from me:

Well here we are - The Final Four.

It's been a long road, but that's the point isn't it?

Reading over the final entries you get the sense of what each of them has been able to take from this journey. Without a journey, you don't *go anywhere*. Funny how that works isn't it?

The voices are so distinct, so rich, that doing anything other than reveling in who they are and allowing them stand proud would be a shame.

They've laid it out for you, their hopes and dreams - yelling, crying and everything in between- presenting their talents week after week, month after month.

Here we are - one more set of entries to read and one more vote. It's time for the voters, it's time for *you* to decide who is going to win this thing!!

When it's over - one of these contestants, these incredible people will be named as the winner of Season Five - and become The Next LJ Idol!

I liked alexpgp's "Who Should Win" entry best. But in the end I had to cast my vote based on the entire season.

My vote goes to darkprism. Not so much for any one entry, more for the way that her entries together create this rich world in my mind's eye. There was a day back at the end of February when I found myself walking down the road feeling tense and shaky and I couldn't work out why. I eventually traced the feeling back to this (http://darkprism.livejournal.com/235667.html), which I'd read earlier that day.

To be honest, though, I wouldn't be sad to see any of these four win. It's been a good season.

It's been so much fun reading everyone's entries this season. I'm actually a little sad I won't have entries to read everyday anymore....and it was nice to be opened me up to so many new topics/ideas/fears/motivations/etc. each and every week.
