All of the above. I don't have a specific type of entry that I vote for. I just go for well written. I might make an exception on the quality of writing if an entry is sufficiently thought provoking or it's an original take, but if it's incomprehensible to me, then I won't vote.

Personally, I don't like entries that seem to say "vote for me because I've had a bad life." Some of the most heart wrenching entries have been fabulous, if difficult, reads, but there have been others where I felt that the writer was trying to win sympathy votes and that doesn't do it for me.

Finally, different is always good. Something which stands out for whatever reason, whether it's a funny entry in the middle of deep and meaningfuls, or a creative use of everything LJ can entail or something completely unique. I like to be entertained and interested, but I think that can be combined with finding out more about who someone is. I don't see it as being an either/or scenario.

I've been reading the entries. I still don't know what I should write about.

It's snowing hard this morning. There is only a light dusting but it's already slippery and I already slipped but luckily didn't fall. I hate taking the bus when it's snowing hard because it takes longer. I'm working only a half day today.

Hey folks. I know this isn't even remotely LJI-related, but I hope Gary will indulge me. Take a look at my latest post (http://users.livejournal.com/astriana_/174794.html) and take a few minutes to make a phone call. TimeWarner and BrightHouse are planning to take Noggin, Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Spike, Comedy Central, TV Land and several other channels off their programming lists tonight. Meh. It's morning.

I was woken up on this snowy NYE to the sound of my boyfriend running to the bathroom... to throw up. Yes, THREE people in the household have caught the flu bug. I guess I'll have to get my kiss from Santino... (And no drinking now since everyone is so sick.) I'm feeling okay currently. I don't want to eat anything and chance it, though... *crosses fingers that she doesn't get it*

We didn't get to Chocolate World yesterday. We are pushing that back to Friday when everyone is feeling better. But we did hit up Waffle House, so I am happy. :D

Trying to work out my entry. It's really difficult. Wish I would have saved my bye till now... Gah.

Morning, kidz and kittenz.

A low-key evening planned for New Year's Eve... if people are up to staying up, we might have a few hands of blackjack or we might play Monopoly. No funds for booze or nibbly fripperies this year, and if Christmas is any indication, I'll be the only one in the house getting dressed up. People have no sense of occasion anymore.

But I have a lot to be grateful for as 2008 ends, and I'll be very happy to see 2009 start off well.

We were going to go out to dinner, myself, baxaphobia, her husband, his mother, and bax's mom and step dad, but the snow sucks and is blowing and just ick so we're staying in. The roads suck. So because of that, I came home from work, did a sink full of dishes, and got into my new pajamas. Fuzzy slippers and all. I'm boring. I might be getting a cold. I will probably ring in the year in bed, alone except for the dog.

Hello everyone~

I'm at work until 4p, the advantage of being the one to write the schedules is I made today a short day.

I'm planning to be at a party at midnight, but am intending to head home relatively quickly after that. Tomorrow is the first day off I've had since Christmas so I have things to do.

I have an idea for this week's entry but writing in rehearsal is difficult to do. I can read though, so I'm staying caught up on that.
