Green Room - Week 1 - Day 8

 Today is the day!  Which is true with every day. Regardless of the specific day, it's ALWAYS "The DAY!"

But in this case, it's a special day to us specifically. The first poll is closing tonight and it's pretty close in who might be voted out.   therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1142509.html

Results - Week 1

 I caused this result. It was a comedy of errors that all ended with us in this situation.

  vik_thor  submitted his entry after the poll went up. He was charged with a bye because it wasn't there when I hit "post"... within a minute of me doing that though I got the notification that his entry was up. 

So I went to add it at the bottom of the post. He still had a bye, because it wasn't in before I posted the poll.  But I wanted people to have the chance to read it. The problem came because I accidentally overwrote the rest of the poll when I posted that link and didn't notice until people started pointing it out.  

At that point, I assembled the NEW poll, and since he was in time for that, I added his entry. 

And he ended up with the lowest amount of votes. Did people not vote for him because he was late? I know there are people who do that. Were there other factors? I honestly don't know. 

What I DO know is that if that original poll had stayed up, without me trying to do something nice, he wouldn't be going home...

So he isn't going to be going home and will be charged with a bye instead. (as the original poll stated) 

I don't want someone to be eliminated for me causing a technical difficulty.  Nor would it be fair to skip over him (like he was a bye) and eliminate the next person. No one is going home this week. Congratulations! You made it to Week 2. 

There is an important lesson for me here - never try to be nice.  ;)

 For those new to Idol (and those who may not remember) for prompts there are some weeks where the the prompt is literally just an interesting word I came across. 

This is one of those weeks. Sometimes I will supply you with the definition, sometimes I won't.  This time, I will.
