Green Room - Week 11 - Day 10

Every day is a bit of a crapshoot where I think about what I want to say in a Green Room and compare that to "what people are responding to". After all, I want you to be able to use it as the jumping-off point for whatever you were going to end up saying anyway!

So, based on the success of the thread yesterday - I am declaring TODAY to be n3m3sis43's birthday! Happy Birthday! I hope that today is even better than your last, completely unofficial, birthday that you celebrated! I expect, in future years, that you will celebrate it on this new official date, the one true day that you were born!

This will of course make some people stop and wonder "How can Gary change someone's date of birth?" "Where does he get the authority to do that?"

I get that authority, because I'm me.

It's much like "divine right".

Perhaps you DIDN'T think any of those things. OR rather, you did at one point and I changed your thoughts! So now, retroactively, you did not think anything like that.

You were instead thinking about how much you love mashed potatoes.

You might have some later.

This is just one more step toward the Gary-World order that is coming once I officially take over the planet and start fixing all the problems.

There will be no "poverty". Because everything will be mine. Maybe I'll let some of you borrow my stuff. I doubt it, but maybe.

Racism will be a thing of the past. Because all "people" will be equally oppressed - the same with sexism, and every other -ism... the standard will be "Are you Gary?" If the answer is "no", then you will know your place in the world!

Life will be good, and just.

I, for one, am looking forward to it.

So are you.

Or rather, you will be once I adjust a few things in your brain! ;)

Results - Week 11

Some weeks the results are predictable.

Other weeks they are completely shocking.

This is a combination of the two.

For instance, we knew that violaconspiracy in Tribe 2 was sacrificing.

It wasn't until last night though that I knew that diagenou was being given the Bouncing immunity from morleysnow. Of course, he already had a personal immunity, so would have been safe regardless. But now he has to hand it off to someone else before Week 12's topic deadline!

There were points when I thought that would end up impacting the results.

But it didn't.

Because witchwife ended up sacrificing as well.

I'm not going to lie. I've already processed the first sacrifice - but this one really cut deep. I had her pegged in Week 1 as someone who - at LEAST - was due to make the Top 10. Maybe even end up in the finals. Of course, I'm rarely right - and that's why you play these things out, because real life has a way of taking down anyone, at any time!

I wasn't sure who was going to leave us from the Redemption Tribe though. Not until the last few minutes. It stayed pretty close through the last 24 hours, going back and forth a little.

In the end though, it is tjoel2 who will be saying goodbye this week.

Although I hope ALL of these three will consider jumping back in when Second Chance opens up, and will continue to play the Home Game until then!

You will most definitely be missed.

Topic - Week 12

People want something fun and exciting!

They want to relax and write something that they don't have to think so hard about, because everyone understands it!

I get that.

I sympathize.

So I moved some stuff around on my schedule and found the most "fun" thing I could find on there.

It's one of the most "fun" topics that LJ IDOL has ever had!

Most people probably have a routine by now of how they sit down and write an entry. Is there anything "unique" to your process (or that you think is a little unusual) of how you scroll through your mental Rolodex and come up with the ideas/approach for your entry?

Maybe it's just a superstition or part of your regular routine that you find yourself going back to in order to get that ball rolling.

I'm just curious about how your brain works when it comes to writing - and I imagine that it could be helpful for other people to hear as well.
