It’s always interesting to me when I see people on the internet. Not just “see” them, but really *see* how transparent they can be…

You post something that’s potentially offensive – and the world comes crashing down, telling you what a horrible person that you are, and how you need to DIAF… except of course that’s offensive to people who lost someone close to them in a fire, so don’t say that…

But let someone do something *actually* horrible, in real life – and watch the same people rush to their defense. Because they “thought they were doing the right thing” or “did it for the right reasons, and they *should not* be punished for that”

Give it even a tinge of politics, and watch people take up sides on the issue, any issue, along “party lines”. Then watch them go after someone that the other side is defending, because they are the worst person ever….

Then they will take up a rant on their blog, tearing someone down to the core – “because it’s the right thing”/”they are supporting justice”, and never once stop to consider that they are part of the problem….

What’s the solution? Voting in the poll of course! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/679567.html
