It comes down to taste. Some people have it, and some don’t. ;)
Oh, what I meant to say is that not everyone has the same taste in things. Personally, I always read that “such and such” has brilliant writing and I see it for myself and yawn. Or I really get into something, and someone else “doesn’t get it” at all – including usually getting key plot details wrong in their descriptions, and they chalk it up to “bad story-telling”. Honestly, a lot of that seems to be ego-based. After all, YOU are the greatest judge of everything, ever. At least by your own perceptions. Because that’s literally how you filter the world around you – through yourself. I’m not even saying “ego” as a bad thing, but rather as a “thing that is”.
So you are going to love something that someone else hates – and someone else is going to hate something you love.
And that’s OK.
(as long as no one is hating the things that I say are great. In which case, you are just wrong! :D)
With that in mind, what have you been loving in the poll this week: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/638700.html
There’s a lot of great stuff. It’s going to be a matter of what resonates with a bigger crowd! So, if you have an opinion about what rocks your boat, speak up and let other people know! :D
