Good (very early) morning!

Happy May to you. . . why do I have "First of May" by Jonathan Coulton stuck in my head now?*g*

But around here we like to call it Month 7/Sprint Month (the final full month). Hope you've got on your running shoes!

So what have you been reading that's struck your fancy?

Anyone have any big May Day/Beltane/Lei Day/'Obby 'Oss/Black Prince Day/Maydayrun/Roodmas/Loyalty Day/International Workers Day/Mother Goose Day/Save the Rhino Day/Space Day/Golden Week plans??

Edit to add: What happens in Vegas doesn't need to stay there! You, yes YOU, can get your very own postcard from LJ'S OWN [livejournal.com profile] kithan as she stumbles through that city next week!

All you need to do is send an email with your address to her at hockeykit@gmail.com!

Paging [personal profile] kittenboo to the white courtesy phone with your entry.  [personal profile] kittenboo please pick up the white courtesy phone and post your entry...

This is much more fun for me than making a big list of names, I must say.  :)

Because I'm kind of a dork like that.  ;-)

A few words from [livejournal.com profile] clauderainsrm me:

Here we are staring into the Promised Land that is the Top 10.

I was thinking about it the other day and had a good laugh when I looked over the twelve remaining contestants. Why? Because *every single one of them* is someone who at one point or another either seemed about ready to go OR made a comment about how they didn’t think they were going to last very long.

My answer was always the same: “You might be surprised”. Because if Idol has taught me anything from season to season, it’s never assume you know what is going to happen next – the more you think something is a “sure thing” the more likely it is to slip from your fingers.

So we end up standing here, poised to lose two more contestants, and march into that great unknown that is the Top 10 and beyond.

The only thing that can be guaranteed is that if you don’t read the entries, and vote for the stuff that really got to you, then there’s a pretty good chance that you won’t be seeing it around next round.

Things are really tight, and every vote to keep your favorite writers in the mix is an important one.

The poll opens right now and closes Saturday May 3rd at 10:00am EDT. We will be losing the two with the least amount of votes, who will be leaving and joining our jury.

Yep, results on Saturday! Just a little bit of spice to your weekend, from me to you.

This is the first time I’m posting the polls for, well, quite some time, [livejournal.com profile] kithan did the actual work, so if there’s something wrong…*g*

Be gentle – and of course, good luck to everyone.

I’ll announce who has immunity as soon as the jury gets back to me with their decision.
