The results are in and unfortunately today we must say goodbye to hightekvagabond who was eliminated due to being involved in a scandal about shipping Idol jobs overseas to sweat shops, despite being an early favorite.

HTV won hearts and minds but fell just short of the goal this week.

Obviously, humor (or at least my brand of humor) was not the way to win this contest.

It's funny because the nature of the contest is that the only comments you get are people saying what they liked, noone ever tells you why they didn't vote for you.

that's a good point, people are prbably too worried that if they said why they didn't vote for particular people then those people wouldn't vote for them.

That is not giving the other contestants much credit is it? That is assuming they are all small people who can't take criticism....

Now, knowing that I don't really know most of the people in this contest I won't say if that is a good or bad assumption, just saying that it's a sad commentary on the general impression of the people.

Then again, the only criticism I got last week was that my post was too much of a downer, to which I promised humor this week.... and you see where that got me. ;)

It did remind me of something that I'd seen before - but that said it was a reminder of why I often threaten to make things just *me* voting every week to eliminate people!*g* He wouldn't have been in danger this week. Neither of the two in the run off would have been. But then again the public can be fickle and you never know until you put something out there what they will and will not respond to at any given time.

Part of the problem is that not everyone has the same sense of humor. And some people are more uptight than other people. And, I guess that's why this whole thing is great. It's so diverse. This week, he didn't do as well, but who's to say if he wrote something similar, he would have been in the bottom next week or the week after.

People just need to open their minds, death is just a form of renewal, but dieing you make space for new birth. Israel has been around long enough, time for it to die and move on so a new country can be born in it's place.... preferably a country who's entire economy is based on bananas.

OK, one last moment of wtf.... seriously, this really confused me.... I seriously thought this was a great post and expected to do amazingly well with it...Now, here I am eliminated and confused.

This isn't one of those "well screw you guys" type posts, it's truly a "I'm confused post", so I'd love to invite some negative feedback from the other members of the community. It's all fine and good to see people say "I liked his stuff" but I'd much rather see some posts that say "I didn't vote for him because...."

I can't improve if I don't know what I did wrong.

Trust me, I won't take anything you say personal. Just looking for some honest feedback.
