Good morning.

Some general house-keeping announcements: If you change your user name you need to *let me know* about it. Just send me an email at clauderainsrm@gmail.com or via LJ because otherwise the chances are good that I won't see it. I can't be in the habit of tracking everyone down, or having other people do it. That is on you to make sure I know so you don't submit an entry and me assume it's someone playing the Home Game who just posted in the wrong spot!! Plus the sooner that I know the better for putting together the poll.

You have a lot of faith in us, to think we have them ready already! I'm still waffling over what to write about... haven't even put a single word on paper/screen! We can't all be as brilliant as some of you!

Serious question though- do you mean this is the thread all week, or will we put a thread in each day's Green Room for the ones who want to post that day? And how often is too often to post a home game entry? I don't want to be rude, but I want it to be seen...

Well, I'm cold and still ill though I'm finally starting to feel a bit more human and a bit less like roadkill (hmm...maybe that's how the stain got there?)

Homemade breakfast burritos are just full of win! We made these up and froze them a few weekends ago and they taste better than anything I could have bought at McDonalds or similar outlets. They're healthier too:

large fresh brown eggs, turkey sausage, green onions, cheddar cheese, and a liberal lacing of garlic (hey, we like that stuff here and it keeps off the vampires)

I'm really digging all this made-from-scratch food and I should have been measuring portions all along. I had NO idea just how much "one serving" of something like lasagna would be. Yikes, I barely finished what I was allotted. And 2 tablespoons of dressing for salad is plenty, really.

*leaves a plate of homemade burritos on the coffee table for the early birds*

Today is my last day of work this week! Woo! Tomorrow I'm babysitting for a friend, Thursday is a whole lotta cleaning and Friday is IKEA!

My 2nd bedroom is freshly painted and newly floored. The only thing left is the trim and the closet doors getting put back on. Today, I think, my landlord will rip up the carpet in the hall and start to put new flooring down there.

And did I mention it's my last day of work this week? :)

A colleague from Argentina brought in these amazing cookies. They are caled Havanna and filled with ducle de leche. This is the best breakfast ever.

I had a friend from Argentina try to send me a box of those cookies, but they were mysteriously missing after Customs.

She sent me the recipe instead, and that made it without a problem. Delicious!

So yesterday when I'm ready for the GR to be put up (yes, I was sort of hoping to be "First" for some reason), it goes up after I leave for class, but today it goes up when I could have easily gotten it, but wasn't paying attention. Gah!

But don't worry. It didn't ruin my day or anything. The fact that I forgot to do my Arabic homework, however, might make my day a little worse for the wear.

Anybody here speak Arabic? What's the word for "Groom?"

I was kind of chased out of there last night..moderator IMd me asking if I was okay and told me that I upset someone in the room and I have no idea why..

Well I was a bit drunk..

and loud..maybe obnoxious...

I think it was bias against multiples...I've heard people have issues...in that irc room.

Who know that citing the words to the song "Valley Girl" would get me into so much trouble.

i am declaring this week to be a good no stress fun week, and I am not going to let anyone deter me!

i got my entry done, i had breakfast, and soon we will go shopping for some Thomas Train jammies for the boy, and you know, whatever shiny pretty things I see that call out for me to buy them.

how better to start a no stress week than to buy something for yourself, am I right, or am I right?

yikes! Early green room today; I wasn't even out of bed yet! If there's anything interesting I missed let me know! I like participating; but I've got a few things to do, such as vacume up the dog hair and put some dishes in the dishwasher for mom.

Then I've got a life coach appointment at 12.00 EST and voice lessons at five thirty.

RP partner says she's going to be scarce, apparently AVG's latest updat @@^%$$@@ her computer over, so she's having to fix it.

I haven't read any of the entries on the (very slim) chance that I'll get to write this week. I had three possibilities to write about.

One was that there are three of us at my church who have dark hair and are overweight (but that's where the similarities end) that are always confused for each other.

The second was the time some guy called me at 2am, asked for someone else and, when I told him he had the wrong number, he said "well, you sure do have a pretty voice". My response? "You still have the wrong number" and I hung up. Heh.

The third....well, I'll save it on the off-chance I get to write about it. ;)
