Good morning.

Some general house-keeping announcements: If you change your user name you need to *let me know* about it. Just send me an email at clauderainsrm@gmail.com or via LJ because otherwise the chances are good that I won't see it. I can't be in the habit of tracking everyone down, or having other people do it. That is on you to make sure I know so you don't submit an entry and me assume it's someone playing the Home Game who just posted in the wrong spot!! Plus the sooner that I know the better for putting together the poll.

We slept with the windows open. The temperature change was... brisk... overnight.

A shower sounds nice.

Well, I'm cold and still ill though I'm finally starting to feel a bit more human and a bit less like roadkill (hmm...maybe that's how the stain got there?)

Homemade breakfast burritos are just full of win! We made these up and froze them a few weekends ago and they taste better than anything I could have bought at McDonalds or similar outlets. They're healthier too:

large fresh brown eggs, turkey sausage, green onions, cheddar cheese, and a liberal lacing of garlic (hey, we like that stuff here and it keeps off the vampires)

I'm really digging all this made-from-scratch food and I should have been measuring portions all along. I had NO idea just how much "one serving" of something like lasagna would be. Yikes, I barely finished what I was allotted. And 2 tablespoons of dressing for salad is plenty, really.

*leaves a plate of homemade burritos on the coffee table for the early birds*

Today is my last day of work this week! Woo! Tomorrow I'm babysitting for a friend, Thursday is a whole lotta cleaning and Friday is IKEA!

My 2nd bedroom is freshly painted and newly floored. The only thing left is the trim and the closet doors getting put back on. Today, I think, my landlord will rip up the carpet in the hall and start to put new flooring down there.

And did I mention it's my last day of work this week? :)
