Green Room- Week 2- Day 5

TGIF!

I don't know about things where you are, but here in my world stuff has conspired to make it a very long week, indeed. Children, school, pets, doctors, money, and of course, a Vice Presidential Debate to watch.

What did *you* think of the show last night? Was there a clear winner? Are you tired of hearing a particular catchphrase now? I know there are a few I'm becoming allergic to...

There's no debating that it's almost LJ Idol voting time again. Looks like most everyone has their entry turned in. That's good, since this team of mavericks-*achoo!*- needs to see those links in place by noon EST today. Some of you set the bar pretty high last week and I can't wait to see if you kept up the same level of quality this week. In other words, I'm looking forward to all the reading that awaits me!

Now, if you'll excuse me, it's been quite a morning already and I could use some socks and coffee. Y'all can hang around here and chat, though. I'll be back, and you know how the Green Room works...so, GO FOR IT!

I watched the debate and thought Palin did better than I'd expected, although I felt Biden clearly won.

On an unrelated topic, I understand the "bye" weeks are weeks where you take a pass? I can see how that would be useful if, say, I was taking a vacation or something. Will there be a formal statement about this policy soon?

Gary's post implied he was waiting until after the first two weeks, so I'd guess the announcement will come some time around the announcing of the next topic.

Yup. A bye excuses you from the topic without eliminating you. They're useful if something happens in real life that prevents you from writing or if you're just not inspired...or if you're an idiot and miss a posting deadline like I did last year.

::giggle:: We're all "idiots" sometimes. I don't take many vacations, but it's nice to know that if I need it (for instance, if I get sick), the option will be there.
