Unless someone is on your LJ they wouldn't recognize it. You would know how much is recycled and so would some friends. If you are ok with that there's absolutely no way that I could step in and say "don't reuse material!" Just being realistic.

If you think it works and doesn't take away from the experience for you then it's all good.

Just for the record, I quit before the voting period ended because I think there's a lot of aspects to this game which are unfair, even to the point of cheating. I don't agree with contestents begging for votes in their Lj; think about it; music idol contestents can't do that, why should we? well, if we want to make it fair that is.
but that's what online gaming is all about; it can't be as controled as it really should be to be a fair competition.
Because I will never ask for votes, I feel I just wasn't going to be able to compete fairly, especially at this early stage.
I come here to improve my writing, not to prove how popular I can be.
I'm sorry to those I may have offended; that wasn't my intention.
and I'm definitely not saying all of you behave in the way I stated above, but too many do it for my liking.
I'm not completely heartless however, For pretty much the first time (in my short session of being in idol both years), I mannaged to read all the entries, and thoroughly enjoyed most of them. There is talent among you.

...what? You think people in 'real' idol contests are only ever given votes based on their ~*~talent~*~ and ~*~skill~*~? You don't think they have fansites, or a rabid pack of fans willing to vote for them even if they're not that good? You don't think they ask everyone they know to vote for them because a) they want it that badly, and b) they know how these contests work?

Dude, seriously. This competition is just as 'fair' and 'controlled' (btw there are two 'l's in 'controlled') as anything else - if anything more, because we can actually see the polls and see how things are going along during the voting process, unlike other contests where you have no actual proof that any of the votes that you place are being counted.

Also? This is LJ idol. Check your understanding of the word 'idol', okay? Someone else pointed this out earlier:
One that is adored, often blindly or excessively.
...you know, that kind of sounds like popularity to me.

This contest may sound like it's all about the ~*~writing~*~ and the ~*~talent~*~, and hey, at its heart it may be. But there is a damn huge part of it that's about popularity; putting your pride on the line and asking people to vote for you so you get one more week to show how great you can be.
