"The part of this job that I like the best? Being privileged enough to be able to watch the growth of writing *and people* throughout the duration of a season. It’s an absolutely thrilling thing to witness. Heh, sometimes a kind of scary thing at times too. But the people who actually put something of themselves into their work, and put it on the line, those make for some incredible opportunities to actually watch something extraordinary take place.

The worst part of the job – Eliminations. I always try to minimize the amount of people going every week because I just don’t like saying goodbye to people! (Cue Topic 1!*g*)

That said – we had 192 people signing up to play this season!!! That's an incredible amount of folks!

I'd guessed there was going to be an elimination from the wording of the topic... that it wasn't going to be voted on, but it was required. And thus, busted my butt to make sure my entry got in last night. *phew*

Yeah, I know. I'm fighting back my Procrastination Demon by aiming for a goal I certainly never achieved in academia: Writing the same day I recieve a prompt.

I'm sure this will quickly dissolve into "writing within three minutes of the deadline" like it does with school, but hey, I managed it for Topic 1 at least. Once is still a record for me. :-P
