"The part of this job that I like the best? Being privileged enough to be able to watch the growth of writing *and people* throughout the duration of a season. It’s an absolutely thrilling thing to witness. Heh, sometimes a kind of scary thing at times too. But the people who actually put something of themselves into their work, and put it on the line, those make for some incredible opportunities to actually watch something extraordinary take place.

The worst part of the job – Eliminations. I always try to minimize the amount of people going every week because I just don’t like saying goodbye to people! (Cue Topic 1!*g*)

That said – we had 192 people signing up to play this season!!! That's an incredible amount of folks!

I'd guessed there was going to be an elimination from the wording of the topic... that it wasn't going to be voted on, but it was required. And thus, busted my butt to make sure my entry got in last night. *phew*

Yep.

Last year Topic 0 was just a practice round.

This year I promised that we would start out "like no other season" and that "things would move faster early on". Making Topic 0 a requirement and not instantly putting in the bye system were *a couple* of the changes to work toward those goals.
