The doors to the Green Room are now locked, however if you'll just walk this way over to the Banquet Hall. . . it's not much further I promise.

Ah, here we are.

The decorations look nice and the catering company seems to have put out a spread worthy of ewok_626's standards.

You'll no doubt notice the tables, chairs, comfy couches spread across the room as well as the sizeable dance floor. It's because this isn't a normal "Wrap Party".

It's also a FRIENDING FRENZY!!!!!

One of the (many) things that I love about Idol is the relationships that are formed in the trenches as the season progresses. But quite a few of them this time around started at last year's Wrap Party/Friending Frenzy!

I, personally, have made more friends this season than any in the past.

I think that holds true for most of you as well.

That said, enjoy the space - mingle and kick back. Introduce yourself to people, and by all means, TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO STOP BY!!!!! You never know if that newbie you mention it to might be the next LJ Idol!!!!

Obviously, no smoking indoors, soliciting or flash photography and keep your arms and legs inside the Banquet Hall at all times.

It's our last day together in Season Four - let's have some fun!

Hey all! A party is more fun than going to work! I've made some great friends through therealljidol this season. I don't know if I'll play next season but I'll be around at least. So Gary, is the maintenance crew going to clean and freshen up the Green Room while we're gone? After the heavy use it got I think it could use a bit of freshening!

Wow, it's all over? (for a few months anyway...)

It's been a pleasure getting to know you all this year. There were frustrations, there was drama, but I think most of all, there was a lot of fun. And a lot of good writing. A LOT of good writing.

Also, you people need to stop trying to steal my Cheetos.

So here it is... I'd like to invite anyone who wants to go ahead and friend me. I haven't posted as much since getting the new job, but once things even out, I'll be posting and commenting more.

Speaking of my new job, I need to get moving. I'll friend pretty much anyone back who friends me and when I get home tonight, I'll go through and friend some other people that I've been meaning to friend.

I am quite happy that I decided to join idol and give this a go. I got to read a lots of wonderful entries and met some amazing people. This was quite an experience to say the least. I alwasy love making new friends, I read my flist everyday (and in cases like now at work when it's crazy slow I read it a few million times a today to keep myself entertained). Well, this is it.

I didn't even think I would make it to the party, but downtown DC has been witbout power for the last hour (thanks Pepco!) so I am using my phone to catch up on life.

What a wild wild this season was! I am trying to figure out if I want to play next season or not.

I have a silly question: how many contestants out there have an SO who curse... ahhh you know what I mean if you are one!!

Since this is also a FF *waves to new people* I think people will either recommend me or tell you to stay as far away as possible (and mean it). Since I am an Idol Addict, the good content has been lacking lately, but I promise to work on it.

Good Morning!!!

I am going to write a longer post when I get back from the office this afternoon. It's a shorter day for me--just running into the office to fax a contract from last night and then I am home with the baby!

See I was going to have a Friending Frenzy and now it can all happen here! YAY!!


Last night was amazing. After the texting frenzy on my phone I got home to an IM frenzy. Since I couldn't keep up I started a Live chat. We must have had about 30 people in there, some of whom I haven't seen in 15 years. It was just an awesome night and I thank everyone for that!

Please friend me if you want to! You should know that even though I cannot play next season, I will very likely play the home game, so there will be plenty to read! I also am going to get back to doing some photography, so there will be images coming soon. :)

Congrats to the top three!

It was a great season this year and I'm sad it's at an end. I read many great posts about every topic under the sun. Sometimes I cried, others I giggled. I feel I've gotten to know many of the contestants well enough to call them good friends.

Thank you everyone for allowing me the opportunity to know you better.

I'm glad that I participated this year. Idol was a good experience for me. It broke me out of my writing rut, gave me the opportunity to meet some excellent people, including all three finalists, and re-focused a lot of my internal churnings.

I was a lurker this year, mostly to watch and support my friend chite. She and I were roommates for four years, two in college and two after we graduated. :)

I'm the Ann she mentioned in some of her posts.

I'd like to try my hand at LJ Idol sometime, but alas, probably not next season. I'm in the Masters of Writing Popular Fiction program at Seton Hill University, so all my free time is spent working on my Master's thesis (which happens to be a fantasy novel).

I may do a home game entry or two next season. Though, I'm more of a fiction writer than a non-fiction writer (unless you want technical documentation), so it'll be a challenge.

Yeah, something tells me that your Master's thesis is probably going to be taking up quite a bit of your time.

We'd love to have you around though, even if it's just playing the Home Game. I've found that some of the best journal writers come from a different literary backgrounds, so don't sell yourself short on what you would be able to do coming from a fiction background.
